Working out together, working on a special creative project each month, role playing while both people are away from each other until we meet again physically. Gratitude at night before bed is a great 1 too. 💛💛💛💛 thank you Matt.

  • @doryd3731 says:

Having respect for each other , having a habit of consulting together about the decisions you make , having jouful/fun time together

  • @shayaeldar says:

I would say that another habit I think makes such a difference is asking each one another before going to sleep if there was anything you did that disturbed or annoyed your partner that day. It opens the communication to talk about the small stuff that you might think arent important enough but may influence your relationship in the future. This way you’ll never go to sleep with tension in the bedroom…

    • @anatudrau7817 says:

Thats a really great idea and we tend to overlook this when we dont talk about our issues in a relationship so having time to talk about it before you go off to dreamland…is a perfect idea to a strong commitment in a relationship

I really like the first one, before you go to bed, you each share with each other three things that you appreciate about the other person.

This is something I know some people do in the morning as well. These things become unconscious, and you REALLY start to appreciate them if you hear them over and over again.

    Great upload, thanks!

Great habits! We do all of these. The nighttime appreciation happens more during the day but we do say how we love to snuggle/hold each other as we fall asleep. ❤

  • @brandidamore1751 says:

I think people get the sex and relationship aspect backwards. If the frequency of sex is going down it’s because something at least from the women’s point of view is not right in the relationship. You cannot make yourself sexual if you’re feeling resentments in the relationship. The connection and desire to have sex erode when there’s problems in the relationship so then yes of course when you stop having sex those problems become worse. I really do wish that all these relationship experts would talk about all of the relationship issues that erode the desire to have sex. It’s very fortunate than men can just have erections just like that and be biologically ready at all times and so then women are sometimes put in the position of just accommodating that or being authentic. So please start telling us how to fix those resentments that prevent us from being able to be sexual and not make it feel like it’s transactional. Because without it we lose our connection to the person

Dr Gray talks about this- how men and women’s brains/needs are opposite: women want to have sex when the relationship is nurturing, men have sex to fix relationship problems. Best advice is choose a man who is willing to listen and care and never have sex before he has bonded with you! 🙏🏼🤍

  • @ruthzp9659 says:

2 other relationship enhancing practices: 1) never go to bed angry; always make up after an argument before the night is over
    2) absolute total truth between the couple.

I love the tiny compliments my boyfriend gives me. Not just saying I love you but like you have beautiful eyes or you are going to be great today. Or even just tiny gifts like a poem or a cup of coffee in the morning. That makes me feel good so I do the same in return.

Just yesterday I bought a new manicure kit for him because he lost his. I could tell he appreciated it. I even told him how handsome he looked because he did.

I feel like it’s the small gestures that makes a relationship last too. 🥰

  • @annnavallo4860 says:

Depending on the circumstances not having sex does not necessarily end a relationship. My late husband under went chemo while I was going through menopause. For the last 5 years of his life we found other ways to connect and never felt closer. Not that we both didn’t miss intimacy. We loved each other so much it wasn’t as important any longer. Communication was key.

I learned that some men (and women) cannot change their habits or preferences, such as sleeping with open windows and no curtains, or swimming nude or anti-flying holidays, or only camping in a tent instead of staying in hotels, etc. So when you think at first that is not a big deal, than you can be surprised if that will be the cause for breaking up after all. In my case: after 18 months. Sometimes people cannot compromise apparently. So sad, but true unfortunately. Thank you for your tips for a hopefully future relationship

  • @kathyhayes-bromley5199 says:

My husband and I talked about everything. That is not to say we didn’t have our moments of disagreement. We never went to bed angry with one another. Even if we had to get up early. In 40 years, our biggest argument was when my dad passed away. I lost my best friend ever and it turned out my husband felt he had lost his best friend also. We finally got on the same page and it made our grieving still difficult but helped each of us get through the process. We also learned to give one another space. Good bad and indifferent. But unless working we were always ❤ together. My husband has since passed. But he has left my heart full of little holes and one huge hole.
