• To be honest. Just stop chasing. Focus on yourself, and work on bettering yourself. Work to reach your goals. And your purpose. I’ve realized in my years of dating, women aren’t special enough for me to waste my time chasing and spending my hard earned money just to get her to notice me and give me a chance. If a man has to jump through hoops, and have to do A through Z just stop chasing. I’m on my purpose, and if they come they come, if they don’t, I’m still going to be me. And my grind to reach success won’t stop for no women.

• You are 100% correct. I experienced this in my last relationship. Never chase a woman, she will constantly string you along to a point that you start feeling unworthy. Men with high self-esteem, who are confident and have self happiness/love within will never chase because they know their worth.

• Thank you, Stephan. I was in a relationship with a beautiful soul, who unfortunately had childhood emotional sexual abuse. I would often be the one who had to fix things, to prove myself trustworthy. "The more you do well, the more she would become skeptical of you." - is so true! The stronger I feel in the relationship, the more walls and tests she throws at me. At times I don't have any more mental energy to focus on anything else but to give her attentions and love. I've realized now, that I can't heal her. I need to save myself first...

  • I just ended a two year relationship with a woman who had very similar trauma. And I experienced the same as what you described with “tests” and “walls” and I was over investing in her and getting very little in return. We broke up once before and she pulled me back in. She is “fearful avoidant” and the push pull is normal for her. But we mutually agreed to call it quits. She knew what she was doing wasn’t fair to me. She knew she had more healing to work on. Sucks because we did live each other, but just like Stephan says it was getting toxic. And now I’m trying to heal from this failed relationship.

    Yeah , that's why it's better to abstain . That doesn't stop people from being liars or manipulators . Men or Women . This is merely behavioral awareness . People pretending to be the victim , can't find a good man etc , and yet they treat men who would be good to them with disdain . It's men saying to one another " I've noticed this as well " .
