I hate self-centred people who never have the vision or empathy for others
Yup, couldn’t b more agree abt it, buddy
Did you watch the video?
We Swedes are not self centered, it’s literally the opposite. We don’t disturb others because we value the time and personal space of others, and don’t want to be a nuisance to them!
Sure it can have many side effects like she mentioned in this video, but it has nothing to do with being self centered!
That’s sweden for you
β@warlord95Sweden yes you are. If someone falls on the bus 90% of people won’t even bat an eye. It’s all about saving your own skin and making sure you’re not “weird”. Swedes are cold and unempathetic but love pretending like they care by talking about it
Vancouver, Canada is the same. Itβs sad. Iβm glad I moved to a friendlier place.
I have heard that – it’s said to be very cliquey. True?
Similar to the Seattle Freeze in the U.S.
@@DatingBeyondBordersYup , Canada is so big that the city cultureβs between Van , TORONTO, and MTL are so different.
Would be great to see an episode about it
That US thing is not true . Im a Brit truck driver ive tried to make friends on my nights out in numerous cities . Most places are weird and unfriendly .
I think at night, most Americans feel on edge; they might think youβre a serial killer or something. Itβs easier to make friends when the sun is out.
Transient work + man = possible criminal with imbedded alibi
canada is pretty much the same, maybe not the extent of Scandinavian but itβs getting there,
Glad to hear that Scandinavia doesn’t have EVERYTHING figured out.
Well, Sweden definitely doesn’t have immigration figures out
@@RobotReglol. Itβs still a million times better than shithole USA. Honestly, itβs not even a comparison. I have friends who lived in both countries. The only issue were the high taxes and prices.
Sweden never had everything figured out. It’s just how the Swedes promoted themselves to the world. But it’s becoming apparent the country is full of flows.
Have a wonderful weekend, Marina! Wishing you a happy Saturday β€
Great! I love Sweden, just mind your own business. Too bad Sweden is now unsafe, I would love to spend some time in Sweden.
Sweden has a lower crime rate per capita than Canada, so unless you’re planning on spending on spending time in literally the poorest neighbourhoods in Stockholm or MalmΓΆ(Where there is literally nothing to see for a tourist such as yourself), you should be fine.

Might be hard to become friends but they are nice and friendly. Iβm Brazilian and we make friends very easily, but that can bring you annoying issues. For example, they ask you for favors all the time, no boundaries and some people might not be real friends, just hang out people.

Shame on you.
Go to Curitiba and you’ll feel as if you were in a Scandinavian country…..bleeping awful.
@@louiseleite3866 not even close. Brazilians will always be Brazilians. The most not open culture in Brazil is still very wide open compared to anything in Europe.
Sound like I just discovered the place I have been looking for all my life. Sounds like heaven for introverts
Yea, if you’re not introverted you will be π
That’s why northern Europe is great.
Sounds like a freaking nightmare
But it’s not true. I’m swedish and I don’t know anyone who only have friends from their teenage years. I don’t know why this woman like to always put down swedes and scandinavians. She prefers other cultures (she is not scandinavian) but you have to be openminded and respectful if tou are going to talk about other cultures. Joking sbout stereotypes and play aroynd are all fun but be respectful.
As someone whoβs born and raised in Sweden with a swedish family, I wouldnβt agree at all. Sure, you donβt speak to strangers on the bus, but if someone is standing alone in a party or sittning alone you always try to invite them. And itβs easy to make friends here, at least in my experience. You make friends in school, at work, with neighbors, with friends friends etc. Many people dosenβt even stay connected to their childhood friends and find new ones, some people do, just like in any other country. People in Sweden are just as extroverted as people in other places, you just have to understand the culture.
I am Baltic Latvian and my Swedish friend once visited and mentioned how quite everyone was on a bus here. Aperently Swedes not as quite as Baltic people or Finns.
Thats 90% of sweden. She went to gothenburg and central Stockholm and then made this video. We know it’s not true for most of the country
β@@resorbandI’m from Stockholm
Sweden is for me!
Yeah as a German i would find a lot of friends π
Cant be harder than in north Germany π
Omg, so if I sit alone on a bench reading a book no one will approach me, interrupt me, ask stupid questions and all this stuff? Sounds like a paradiseπ
It’s harder to make friends in Baltics and Finland. Talking to strangers is considered harrasment here.
That’s what I miss about da Baltics π peace n been left alone. π€π
Sweden sounds like my kinda place
I remember going to a party thrown by Mexicans coworkers here in California and the dudes making a beer run came back with some random Ukrainian dudes. The guy throwing the party basically found them walking around and asked if they wanted party with us. Apparently they were lost, looking for a specific place to eat and the Mexican guy throwing the party asked them if they wanted Tequila and food, and they just got in the truck. They opened up real quick. It wasnt a problem that they barely spoke english. They were eating a bunch of carne asada, rice, beans, and a ton of alcohol.
They were refugees from the war, so it was nice for them to experience friendship and hospitality with someone outside their own culture.
What did the Ukrainian dudes do away from their duties back home?
Love this π
Seems like I need to move to Sweden.
I live in Sweden, my kids were born there, and I came to Sweden at 30 years old man, and itβs difficult to be friend of a Swedish person, I got two very close work friends, we hang out together, we are never going to be clise friends not because of them, because I donβt want to, for me Sweden is perfect in that sense.
