I Agree with everyone here. I’m starting back Dating at the age of 64 after being in a Relationship for Many Many years. After my Ex passed away 9 years ago I’ve decided to start dating again. But after I heard what you said Stephan. I Started thinking am I ready? After the Pastor’s Sermon on yesterday about “In God’s Own Time” and after hearing you I believe God is trying to Tell me something cause for some reason the last 8 months of Dating have been Really Crazy. The Game has Changed some of these Men don’t believe chivalry, no manners no nothing. I believe that’s why God wants me to take a Step Back and Look at the Big Picture. Truth! I was just telling someone how a few years ago this guy was trying to get to know me. He lived in a different time zone but I didn’t want to be flexible with my literal time. He suggested me coming to his country to visit. NO WAY! I never even considered it. Fast forward 3 years later my honey now can call whatever time he wants and I’m on my way to see him March 2025 in Nigeria. I was the one who brought it up to God. I remember thinking Who said that?
Definitely scary to be vulnerable! With God, my honey stripped my heart down!

Well..I can’t speak for nobody else, but I can most definetly say at my age I know EXACTLY whom I am..I have many people who try to advise me to do things opposite of what I know I want and need, and usually they are disappointed, because I know what is best for me.

That first point hit me hard. That’s what my ex was doing. He enjoyed his freedom and also now that I think about it, he never was ready for a relationship because he’s still stuck on the past. He was not willing.
Same with my ex… I’m praying he’ll wake up someday
I’m going through the same thing with my ex at this point. He wants freedom 😩
I know I’m not ready. Time is definitely off but let’s just say I got a table and I’m starting to put it together.

I knew I wasn’t ready for a relationship because I knew and know that I still need healing from my previous relationship and trauma! If I jump into a relationship still being broken inside I will only find myself in an abusive relationship/ environment. Healing is a mental process, emotional process! Spending time with God, and church helps! That is where I find my peace, my identity is in Jesus and sometimes we have to go back to God to him to heal us, to restore us, only he can help us and give us what we want. Internal peace is so important and if we don’t have that you are not a healthy you and you cannot be for someone else. Growth is from within, healing is from within, maturing is from within, this wounds need to be heal in order to be and become the best version of ourselves. It takes time, healing takes time beautiful things take time! God is good!

Speaking of what Stephan said about speaking to both men and women, I got started on Stephan’s videos after I saw a Facebook post from a female high school classmate that had a quote from Stephan’s book, “The Man God Has For You”. I decided to look him up on YouTube, if I recall correctly. I didn’t discover his channel for men until sometime later.
Why am I keep focusing on someone that not focusing on me . Then God said Arlene you don’t Love yourself enough.
