Thank you for this video, and thank you to Sir Stephan for enlightening me about having a narcissistic partner.
I related to everything you mentioned. I used to think something was wrong with me, but now I realize my partner was indeed a narcissist. I was always blamed—he said I didn’t know how to kiss. Since I’m Asian, he said my body was different from that of a French woman. It left me very disappointed and confused. I started to wonder: does this person really love me?
Our long-distance relationship lasted for 8 years, on and off. It was only when I moved to Canada that I discovered his true nature, and I finally ended the relationship.

Been there done that. It’s awful! Walk away sooner rather than later. It will only get more painful. They will say they are sorry but they will never communicate directly or take real accountability. Nothing will change.

I made excuses for him saying he was a dismissive avoidant but I believe he was a narcissist. He was dismissive, said I never listen to him, lie, manipulate, deflect, jealous, and he ghosted me.

You are so absolutely right on! I rationalized all the bad behaviors because I did not want to be alone. Alone is hard. But it stops the chaos, lying, cheating, drinking, unreliability. The attachment was like super glue… the love bombing worked. But there was no real acceptance, only being used. It hurts to rip it apart. Do it anyway.

I had so many Narcs in different positions of my ĺife that I thought something was wrong with me 😢
Just walked away from one after dating for 6 months and I say Hallelujah. He is everything Stephen described. No accountability, very dismissive, lack of compassion but I was the problem. Absolutely, no peace, stayed in a state of confusion. Never sure if he was off or on, good or bad. Never consistent, restrictive with everything about his life. I told him when he came to me, I was a very peaceful young lady and I am leaving with peace and I pray he gets the help he needs to heal.

I’ve been with a narcissist for 44 years. I’m planning my exit as we speak, because he says he will not give me a divorce. He says I’m going to honor my vows. (Yeah…ok.) He has no idea that I will be leaving next month once everything is in order.
