Clark is the attraction. If she left for another league the money would go with her. And the WNBA would be in obscurity once again where it belongs.
She already has a $20 million Nike deal.
Her only value to Nike, Wilson, etc. is playing ball in the US. If she goes to Europe, China, etc., her fan base wouldn’t be able to watch much and definitely couldn’t attend. Many top players play overseas now, and no one knows much of their careers over there. Many are bigger stars over there and are paid more than here because women’s basketball is more established over there.

Everyone is emotional once something is a reflection of themselves. I find that men get very emotional once you start to talk about their behavior. The only reason why women are being less logical about this is because it involves women and race and a lot women are emotional about this topic. I’m a woman but I’m extremely rational and logical as an attorney. I’m a huge Clark fan and I see a lot of black people (men and women) being very emotional over this Clark situation.

I appreciate you being honest and candid about why much of the WNBA are actively hating and targeting CC. We the new fans have seen/heard all the bad behavior and don’t like being LECTURED that we don’t understand how great and talented the wnba is even though we’ve enjoyed years of watching high quality competitive NCAA and the elite execution of professional NBA basketball. I know what prison junk yard b-ball is when I see it. I’m starting to lose my interest.
