American vs Polish Friendliness is Shockingly Different 🇺🇸🇵🇱
I asked a foreigner on the streets of Krakow to share one big culture shock when it comes to the USA vs Poland culture. He shared a story which perfectly summarizes American vs Polish friendliness.

Which is more your style? 🇺🇸🇵🇱
USA, baby!! ❤️🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Definitely United States 🇺🇲
🇺🇸 cuz we only live once, we need to feel the others and enjoy that they feel us too
Europe
Neither, for me the best way is something in the middle…USA is illogically friendly too strangers…I find that fake…in europe people hate strangers and engaging with them. I am open to strangers but definitely not super happy to meet an unknown person.
That’s one of the many reasons I love my country 🥰❤️🇺🇸 The friendliness of strangers is one of the things I missed the most when I lived in Paris 😭😭
Paris is probably the worst part of Europe you could have gone to
@@_MC529 I knew someone would say that. People always try to say Paris doesn’t count! 😆 Yet it’s full of people from all over France, AND all over Europe- so it counts. Anyway, I’ve traveled all over Western Europe.
@@LittleLulubee Paris is full of people, but definitely not from Europe.
@@_MC529 I lived there, so I would know. There are people from in and out of Europe.
It reminds me, Kenny Sebastien video 😊
Midwest similar to northern England

He said “I went to the Midwest” and I went this oughta be good lol
Mid west is definitely my favorite part of the US, just has a very “small town” feel to it
Most people with german ancestors

I’m here in krakow and I have to admit that people just don’t say hi to you.
Maybe they say “Kurva ma…😂

Happy Saturday, Marina ❤! I’m friendly with people and always say hi and I know not everyone is friendly but it doesn’t matter if they’re not friendly but I’m myself at the end of the day. Sending my love from Miami, Florida, USA 🇺🇲
I’ve heard Germany is the worse
I can confirm that
Germany is very nice at least in Bavaria
we’re definitely not like that in NYC 😂

Well, people in the US say ”How are you” but they don’t wait for the answer 😂
-Hey how are you?
-Hey how are you?
We don’t want the real answer lol
@@BlackStarXplosion To be honest, most people here in Sweden don’t really want to hear anything else than ”fine” either.
@@krumbergify sometimes, for my personal fun, I’ll respond with honesty. For example: “I’ve definitely been better. Today has been a horrible day and I just wish it would end.”… most often they are stunned into silence 🤣
People are very friendly here in Scotland, they say hello and they hold doors open for you, after hearing these things an so happy to be Scottish xxx
Yes in the eastern part of Europe is this true ,but if u do this in Slovenia is normal to greet ppl on the streets especialy in the small towns or if u go hiking in the mountains this is a expected to do. 🇸🇮

When will you finally grasp the fact that the U.S. is a “peach” society and Poland is a “coconut” type? We don’t smile at everyone and ask “how are you” because it’s just fakel, what matters to us is sincerity and banging straight what we mean.

The kindness in the US is often sincere but it is a passing kindness meant to be taken as a token of caring and often the acknowledgement is also a sign of respect and an approach of open friendliness towards strangers is taught. Many foreigners, especially Europeans do not understand that this is not an invitation for lifelong friendship or for us to follow up with a coffee where we swap life stories. It really is just a passing and momentary kindness, this for some reason makes people very uncomfortable. It is weirder to me to stand next to someone at a bus stop and to be completely silent, a simple hello and a smile never hurt anyone.
Finnland is even worse 😂 I was shocked when people has been turning they heads away as soon as I looked at them 😂
Americans are so friendly, I love that, it feels one big family
Yea if youre white
On the Orkney islands everyone waves as you go past in a car, l got so used to it I had to stop when l got home in England 😂
From the Midwest. This is 100% accurate, unless you’re me. Lol
Wow, i think i need to go to Poland😊
I was taught in a humanities class once that it comes down to strangers = danger in many European countries.. many invasions and warfare in their histories has created this cultural tendency to distrust strangers immediately on sight.
