• It would be interesting to hear some results about how dating apps work for same sex dating. I have understood that the superficial choices makes it tough for gay men who are required to be extremely ripped to compete. However, I believe that lesbians are generally less focused on looks than straight women. This could mean that dating apps work best for lesbian women who benefit from the finding range (looking for about 5% of women) and are less affected by the short attention span on a mobile phone.

• What was interesting to learn as a short man on Match a few years ago when that app was popular and actually showed what the girls filters were - 75-80% of women I swiped on had filters for 6’ tall men and would say about 90% had filters for 5’10” and taller. Then the app stopped showing the filters…

• I don't think any high quality women exist on dating apps anymore unless you are in a big city.

• Dating apps are very important for single parent men in their forties and fifties, like myself. I’m short with an average job and get dates from the apps with attractive successful women. My problem is getting a second date 😂.

• From what I see..a lot of these women are AI generated software..and you can't ever meet them because the always say they are working. If have to figure out a way to find out right away if the woman you are chatting with are a real person. And if they are if they are just there to chat, or if they really intend to meet up with you

• Dating apps on mobile phones will always result in superficial choices due to the short attention span. For biological reasons, (straight) women make the choices in the short term. The result is that most women end up in the digital harems of a small group of popular men who will never commit to one woman. Average looking men generally fail to get dates with average looking women. Most women fail to get any committed relationships. Thus, dating apps should be avoided by all men except the tallest and most handsome and by all (straight) women who are looking for committed relationships. We may instead see a revival of IRL approaches and partner dancing. 🙂
