That wouldn’t be so bad if once they left their parents home they started to look after themselves.
Instead they just shift the mana role onto their partner. So they complain when asked to help, they sneak out of tasks, they “work” longer hours to not have to do anything at home… just as teenagers would do with their mums.

In my childhood (I’m 50) I know the word ‘housewife’ but didn’t know any houswife. All the mothers of my friends, classmates, neighbors were working.

Yes, there were times when men went out working, women stayed home and took care of the household. But in some places of the world it wasn’t true 100 years ago, in other places wasn’t after WW2, and definitely isn’t true today. That’s why we should get rid of this habit.

Both of them work, both of them do chores, both of them take care of children.
