Sharing the same values is a must for a relationship, especially for marriage!
Let me rephrase that: if you want a GOOD, long-term relationship, having the same values is a *mandate.*
That is not something to compromise on.
When it comes to health, think about it:
If you are ever in a position to where you cannot speak for yourself, like you were unconscious or sedated, or just so drugged up that you are not in the right mind etc. then whomever speaks for you, literally has the power and authority to kill you or let you live.
If that person is your relationship partner, and they don't have the same health values as you, would you really want that person to pull the plug on you when it's not necessary
OR
what if that person wants to let you be a vegetable forever?
Having the same values is not a compromise.
It's non negotiable.
You *MUST* have the values, better yet, think for yourself and don't let someone else's values become yours, and unless their values are actually better.
Know yourself.
Perfectly said. I agree. Shared values are a must. We won't progress if not.
100% agree! It is what creates the glue between two people, the more shared values you have the better. Thank you for highlighting the health values as well π
Thank you.
