what's wrong with him wanting to hold your bag wtf that's just being kind, why is that seen as an attack on equality
Because it signals that she is weaker
It's their culture, the way they were taught. It might seem odd to us but our ways might seem odd to them
@@Darkdragon5544She doesn't mind when the bill is payed though. Hypocrisy at its best
@@lordbacon2766 What she minds is the be expectation that he should pay or the "financial dominance" it can represent, not the gesture. Like, for instance, I paid for my friend's meal at the restaurant the other day as a gift, just to be nice on the occasion. But I don't use it to assert my financial dominance over my friend. In Nordic cultures it's pretty much the same: An occasional gesture of kindness can be nice but if you do it to impress or to dominate it's very frowned upon.
@@Darkdragon5544 she actually is. Else she would work as bricklayer, oilrig-worker etc.
She's lying to herself
you don't know Scandinavian women
Yeah man, not everybody thinks latino mentality. Or East Asian, African or eastern European and Arabic and catholic mentalities. (All the same feudal s***)
Scandinavia exists and their mentality too exists. Itβs not a pipe dream man.
@yunleung2631 a moment of real honesty slipped when she said she doesn't mind when he pays.
You obviousy don't know scandiavian girs. The fact that you took her joke seriously is more than teling.
@@miguel111093 itβs called a preference slightly in one way. Women in Germanic countries don't generally behave like Americans. When they say they want to do something. They mean it and follow through.
You might just come from a place where that is very uncommon culturally. Not everyone is the same
Boring country
Love it. Despite them not admitting it, most American women DEFINITELY believe in having the man as a provider. This is taken to cartoonish levels in Eastern Europe + East Asia (thinking Mainland China mostly).
Between someone who relys on 1 income and an equal partner, I am definitely the latter. I want someone who is honest and is able to contribute herself.
Well women Provide Something in Exchange
@@marvin2678 Sure. If you believe in being a provider. I really don't want that much financial stress nor do I want her to take care of everything like a servant.
Date a male then π
β ββ @@marvin2678Provide equality and financial independence for women and they will be able to.
If you have a culture that treats them like sex slaves and maids and they will never be able to provide anything else. Unfortunately thats the case in degenerate and undeveloped places in the world like the US.
Note to self: don't date in Norway.
If you think you're not equal to women I hope for their sake you won't be able to date at all.
Paying and carrying all the stuff is not because we want to show dominance. We just want to show we are caring husbands π’π’.
And it is deeply appreciated and received as loving gestures!! I love when my guy is caring and good partner.
If you want to show you are caring husbands help your wives with the chores.
@@Limpi43 Yeah that always makes me melt, honestly that's all we ask for.
It all depends on how you integrate that in your relationship.
I would have never ever let a man drive my car before. It is kind of a thing that men in my Mediterranean culture tend to sit behind the wheel even if it is his wifes car. My actual nordic partner is completely egalitarian. I feel appreciated and valued in my strengths as in my flaws, and I feel that we mutually support each other. So, I do not feel my acceptance as a strong, independent woman, threatened just because, for whatever reason, he occasionally drives my car with me inside. I would if the relation was not egalitarian. The same would be with carrying bags, inviting etc.
the more i watch these videos the more I think nord men are kinda weird
Hell yeah ill let her pay my drinks and take me out for dinner, sign me up Oslo
Equality not role reversal lol. Both partners do the same for each other and split as well.
Happy Sunday, Marina β€! Hope you are enjoying a wonderful weekend
Being masculine is probably still considered attractive, as long as you just don't do anything that signals either directly or indirectly "I'm better/more capable than you"
Please come and try π
As an African man, I can't imagine myself doing this and thinking it's ok. My ancestors would never accept me as a man
Lol
Welcome to Norwayπ
