I've lived in both Los Angeles and Switzerland and this is almost word for word this same experience as me (Los Angeles = Rio, Switzerland = Finland)
Yes I live in Los Angeles coming from Michigan and I see the same pattern
Rio is BR's LA for sure
Sounds like Los Scandalous Shitfornia to Me.....
I live in Finland!π
and yes, in here itβs rude to be late and if u plan something you always go on time there or if u cant make it re-schedule it in good time. π
For better or worse, Atlanta in a lot like Rio. That's why I'm moving to Europe.
I feel so bad for you, but hey, good luck in europoor land!

I love our eastern europe (finnish too) straighttotgepointness
also in east GermanyβοΈ

Finland is not east. It's North. Northern Europe have their own culture apart from the east.
@@Wenixiitβs similar to Lithuanian culture
@@IbrahimAlwarthan ok reading the comments maybe it is eastern thing π and Finland is part of that culture. As Lithuania.

I actually loathe the type of people she described. No concern for your time and will deceive you to your face and think they are being nice by doing it.
It depends. I have been late very often, when i say i am coming at 5pm, i will be there 100% but might be like 5:30.
It's called the 'jeitinho brasileiro' or 'the little Brazilian way'.
Rio is
Awful
Black people time. (That's the nice way to put it, that won't get deleted)
It's her perception. There could be more to the story. For example if she refuses to learn Portuguese, people will not be able to communicate well with you.
She is cool!
I agree people respect time in Scandinavian countries totally different. You have to be patient the thinking is quite different or the culture I might say.
Beautiful English skills.
All Nordic countries start studying English from 3rd grade. Itβs part of the curriculum and a major part of our education program. If you donβt pass English, math and whatever the national language you have (depending on what country we are in) you can not advance your education to high school or university level
@@kingdt903We are also exposed to movies, TV shows, music and video games in English without dubbing from a very early age so most kids already have a fairly good understanding of English or at least basic skills when starting 3rd grade. Which is a huge advantage when learning the language
β@@joseantoniogalante897
Most of the people in the World do not speak English.
β@@kingdt903 Actually it was changed to start foreig language at 1st grade. Most choose english.
She is totally right. We(Brazilians) don't like to be rude, so we try to be nice as much as we can, even tho its a small talk.
Doctors(Specially paid ones)are pain in the butt.
It's not being nice it's being bull π©
Makes sense kinda. In Finland, and at least in Nothern Europe we show respect by not giving false promises, and being on time. Probably in middle Europe and east too. South Europe is a chaos lol.
Try to be nice.... Try ?
Either your are nice or you a have false personality π your choice π
@@munteza9262 you're wrong, sometimes the best we can do is not enough to other people, human being is not math
@@ThiagoMnab not enough.. or do not make a effort for it...
I don't understand how she can't say a single strictly positive thing about the place yet she lived there for 18 years
Peoples live where they find more suitable for themselves. The fact that she lives 18 years in rio, that said a lot she prefers it rather than finland. May be the weather is her biggest concern.
She didn't say the things were good or bad. Just that she had to get used to them.
Most likely married with kids now, can't leave
it is a short dude, no time
She was asked what was difficult to get used to. You usually don't have difficulty to get used to things because they're just too good.
