  • Fell to the ground, nobody asked if you needed ambulance? Lady that is every current city in every current country in the world!

    • Hey everyone, I'm the ''first lady''
I can explain a bit more : I was in front of a supermarket, there was a few stairs/steps, they were from stone and a bit broken. I have missed the last steps and I fell literally in front of the supermarket entrance door, I twisted my ankle so I needed a few minutes to stand up again as it was really painful.
And that was a shock for me that nobody came at least to ask my if I needed any kind of help πŸ˜…
A little girl was playing next to me, the mother came to her, said something in Estonian to her and they just left, without saying a word to me.
It is shocking indeed but don't get me wrong, there are A LOT of good things about Estonia, it is just that the topic of this video is the culture shock and that is indeed one aspect that the expats have to deal with when they live in Estonia.
Hope my comment helped you guys better to understand the context! πŸ˜‰

    • Hey ! :)
No it's not, I have lived in France, Germany and Norway before Estonia and people definitely would help there 😊 I can't say about other continents ofc

    • In most, if not all countries in South America, someone would help you, even in big cities.

  • Being from the Caribbean and living in Estonia was hard for me. That's where I developed my depression that still lingers with me 6 years now.

  • I'm moving to Finland to marry but also to bring western emergency medicine .I fix hospitals and emergency services in America. Will be in turku Finland 1st. In November. I am doing it for free.

    • I think everyone would have helped if she asked.
If someone is visibly ok and lying down in a middle of a sidewalk, maybe she wanted to take a rest. Estonian have inherit aversion for getting into others business.
But as Estonian I have seen how we come together helping if it is realised the help is needed.

    • @@minaolenella869 exactly this. We don't care what you are doing and are not going to snoop around. But if you ask. We help

  • Say what now??? πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ no one said a word, just got off the bus lol

  • I abhore cultures that are that individualistic. They call Americans racist and stuff ...but bruh! Americans would at least ask if you are okay and call an ambulance

  • First lady:
Estonians respect your private space. If you really want something help need to ask for it. Nobody guess what you are thinkin. Be honest and direct. Terviseks! 🍻

    • That's a lie. it has nothing to do with private space. someone laying on the ground may not even be able to call for help. That is why it is a crime in many countries to NOT help a fellow citizen in need. People in eastern europe do this because they simply dont want to get involved.

    • @@manuueela1we have a law where we must call help if anyone is passed out. Especially in winter.

We have a lot of fins coming over get drunk and just lay around.

People falling is... Common. Ice. But if you say "help" you will be helped. Because we don't know if you are a drunkie or you need help
