Getting surgery on his elbow that he damaged years ago.

I had surgery for my 1st time on my hand last month and it's a very sobering experience...The anesthetic jab Felt like a screw driver was rammed into my palm and left there for 30seconds 😫
No work for 2 weeks & No weights, swimming & cycling for 4 to 6 weeks..
On top of that the surgery has not fully fixed the issue.. so in future I will only opt for surgery if it's a life threatening dilemma.
