  • I feel like the Russian lady that can’t really appreciate the circumstances she’s in, probably should go back to Russia. As someone from Russia I think I might know what her “strong opinions” are and there’s no place for these opinions in the civilized world.

    • @@sergiobravo252 cause I know what most Russian think and what they complain about in the West. Most people who live here hate West for no real reason, they’re just being brainwashed. What she said about having to keep her opinion to herself is viewed as something natural here, if your opinion does not coincide with TV propaganda, you better keep your mouth shut even with the closest family. It’s not just that you’ll get side-eyed, it’s that you could get on real trouble with the law. And I can see that she’s disturbed by not being able to say what she thinks in Norway - think about what kind of topics could be viewed as controversial. Almost anything that’s considered common sense in Western world is considered wrong by Russians, it’s all upside down here. You have no idea how bad Russians think Europe and US are.

    • @@sergiobravo252 oh, just a tiny example. Did you know most Russians call Europe “Gay-ropa”?

    • Strong opinions ? I take it Norwegians really hate anyone challenging their egalitarianism. Obviously they're insecure.

    • the nordic countries rank highest in these stats mainly because people are, in comparison, in generally satisfies with their life, have rarely high expectations on things and have good social insurance systems - it does not mean being "happy" publicly all day or interested in social interactions.

    • @@karhabra9682 that makes sense. The conundrum is, would you want high quality of life but be socially isolated? Too be honest I think I would rather be in the later.

    • @@chip9649 it is not socially isolated, it is a different type of social life - being fron the very north of Germany myself I usually feel fine with the Scandic behaviour and do never feel excluded regardless whether in Tromso or Helsinki and had plenty of deep conversations

    • the polls are rigged. i think Filipinos are way happier then any nordic country but its wyte supremayscists involved in forming opinions so it is how it is. scandinavian anti-human model has to be promoted to the world
