Only if this person is for you, in your corner rooting for you, had your best interests at heart. If this person isn’t for you, giving them the best version and experience of you won’t matter. If anything, they’ll love it more if you’re mean to them and do nothing for them because then they actually may respect you and say you’re smart. Other than that, all they will care about is how to get to you to use you. Know your worth and quickly learn and learn from the people you entertain or are entertaining.
