Your experience is an exception. This long distance connection can work only if one physically joins the other in time short terms (ex. 6 months). You really get to know a person only if you meet him/her in person almost daily. Otherwise it is destined to finish.

Oh yes, it’s been growing and growing for sure! We’re both excited to see each other when we can. Despite that, he still tells me he doesn’t want a relationship. He’s an avoidant. I let him use me because I’d rather hurt than be alone. I have so much trauma 🙄
