I Went to the MOST Naked Country in the World
Try Lingopie here:
If you've ever been on vacation, you must have seen people from this country bare it all. But it doesn't stop at beaches. Mixed saunas are huge and it's common to see nak€d people in parks. I went to Germany to see if the FKK culture is still as strong as ever and here is what I found out.

It’s so sad that immigrants think they have the right to judge people for their culture in their own country. If you don’t like it, don’t do it, but don’t try to change one’s culture, respect the country that welcomed you.
The moment a country accepts an immigrant the country is also stating it accepts and endorses the supposed migrant morality and values.
@@LNVACVACNo, an immigrant being allowed to live and work in a country does not give him the right to impose or disturb other ppl who have nothing to do with it, if they are not satisfied with the culture should move to where they find it most suitable.
@@wagner9527 You realize rule of law and being annoying are different things, right? Also rule of law and culture are distinct. When a government accepts a migrant the only pact is on rule of law.
The moment you invite someone to live with you, in your space, you are not only changing yourself the space you live in but also inviting an individual agent.
Why the hell do you think europe is becoming islamic and turning rightwing?
You invited a person from another culture to live in your country you to begin it changed your own country’s culture.
@@LNVACVAC Agree with the rule of law and culture aspect difference. Regarding the rest you’re going too far, US/Canada received many Muslims and they are still US/Canada. I lived with a Muslim/iranian family in Canada for a while I can say that they were incorporated in the western social values, although they kept their faith. That’s how it should be. Now imagining I receiving a job proposal to work in the Emirates and insisting on being vulgar and breaking and disrespecting social rules, kinda stupid.
@@wagner9527right 👍
Good for you, Marina. Trying out new things even though not that comfortable for you.
I know this is not a political channel but, whilst a nudist environment holds no interest for me either, Germans must be (rightly) dismayed when other cultures/regions come to their country and have the audacity to lecture them on nudity. Whatever happened to “when in Rome”? If you don’t like it you don’t have to be there.
Loving the new content. All the best.
Hopefully, Westerners have the same mentality and attitude like yours when it comes to the Muslim world and stop lecturing and imposing their nudity on us Muslims.
I’m Portuguese, definitely NOT a country where nudity happens naturally.
When I moved to Germany I did try out the saunas and realized people are there to relax and disconnect from the world. There’s absolutely nothing sexual about it.
I have noticed though, that I feel more comfortable at female only saunas or a mix sauna where people are around my age.
I enjoy the way nudity is seen as not sexual and so natural in Germany and Nordic cultures and that’s something we all should learn with them.
Shame on people from radically different cultures who can’t understand, they’re the ones bringing “sexual connotations” to somebody else’s non sexual cultural habit. That is actually a problem and I never went to a mix sauna at my gym because I don’t want to be naked near these guys with that mentality.
I see no issue with some cultures being more conservative about nudity, they got nothing to be ashamed of.
@@Why.Just_why They have the right to their thoughts. But have no right to bother people or impose their views based on a ultra conservative religion. If it’s so shocking for them, then avoid those places.
But your Portuguese culture doesn’t accept. So are you saying shame on your own culture?😮
@@tar2c690 I don’t know where you got that idea??!! Where have I said Portuguese culture does not accept nudity? It’s not a normal thing. Germans come to Portugal on holidays, get naked and nobody cares. Live and let live.
If we move to Germany, we obviously will respect the German culture. Please, don’t misinterpret or distort my words.
@@tar2c690She said “radically different”, not mildly. It may be a reference to the guy’s comment that a Muslim once came to criticize the German guy for doing it.
The Portuguese may not be as comfortable going nude as the Germans, but when it happens, it’s not a huge shock as it would be in some other countries.
In France it is well known that nudist beaches are mostly for german and dutch mostly :D. Nudity in France is not public, it is more at home, in your apartement, maybe everybody does it, I dont know 😀
Cap Agde in Provence is a totally naked town with shops, bars, restaurants and clubs. Clothing is optional so it’s comfortable for most visitors.
@@karelius7085 Cap d’Agde is not in provence but in Occitanie but yes it is the most popular naked town in France, mostly for foreign tourists in the summer and also for swingers all year round 😉
@@karelius7085 Cap d’Agde is not naturist, not recognized by the Fédération Française de Naturist, it’s a place for swingers.
Sauna is the only place left to be naked and not be photographed.
Congrats on having the courage of making this video, you definitely look uneasy with nudity but you did it anyway despite the uneasy feeling. That’s emotional maturity! 🎉
I remember going to a nude beach in Jamaica, and wasn’t really uncomfortable. Just keep reminding myself not to stare and just look at faces so much that I couldn’t keep a conversation lol.
BTW I’ve seen that in Switzerland, especially in Zurich and Geneva. That was many years ago, but I’m not sure if it is popular now.
As a female from those conservative countries you mentioned I didn’t wear a top at the beach until I was 12 and had big boobs. Also we would see naked tourists all the time and they did their thing and we did ours. Live and let live! We also all changed on the benches in the swimming pool! I was still shocked when I went to Germany but still way more relaxed than USA Americans. If you don’t sexualize things it is not weird!
In East Germany where I studied the student apartments were mixed. My bathroom had a door that you could close but some were in the basement and they were mixed. As a woman the only people that whistle at us were Latin or Turkish. No northern men does that! Super respectfully! Love Germans and Austrians!
Well I think in the East of the country things are different anyways. But there are for sure German guys who catcall, I’ve experienced it plenty of times during night time (but those who did usually are low class).
ITALY & GREECE being modest surprises me. They weren’t like that 2000 years ago in the Roman Empire’s nude public baths
.
Yes indeed. Northern men, with manners, are never the problem.
I am proud of you for accepting the fact and a shock culture for trying to experience it once yourself. We needed to know about this and open our mind irrespective of respecting everyone’s different culture and society. ❤

You should go to Denmark or Spain where so many beautiful girls are naked on regular beaches. What’s the problem of being confident about one’s body?
Or just comfortable?
Oh, so it’s only okay to be comfortable naked if you’re a woman? What about the plethora of homophobic men who can’t stand to see other men naked and start complaining about it?
Curious: would you ever try the mixed nude sauna?
By the way, I genuinely hope you enjoyed the style of the video.
Times change and I have been wanting to try more of this style of format for a while. I’m curious about why cultures do what they do, how our upbringing shapes who we are and how we relate to the world, be it nudity, gender roles, love language, how we view relationships, how we communicate… the list goes on. Excited to share these new findings with all of you. 😊
If you haven’t yet signed on to my Podcast, please do so. Each Tuesday I chat to different cultures, diving deep into these topics.
I would not mind trying out a nude sauna just to get the experience. I haven’t done the nude part at a beach although I have been to beaches where people go nude and women go nude or topless. I have done swimming naked alone in the pool though via bet that I won years ago if swimming naked in a pool counts although it was my friends and I only at the community pool. It doesn’t bother me to see people naked, it’s just about having an open mind in my opinion. I did enjoy the video Marina and continue with the good content. You go girl! ❤
I went to mixed sauna many moons ago with my ( then ) German fiancé. I am Indonesian btw.
The concept of mixed sauna was alien to me, I couldn’t comprehend what if you see your teacher / neighbour or someone you know naked in the sauna…
But now I’m ok with it, anyway when in Rome do like the romans do.
Yes to nude sauna and sunbathing. Porn and religious people just make so many things sexual.
I’ve been to Sompasauna fairly often. It’s a mixed sauna (actually, 3 of them, from warm to seering hot) and visited by people from all ages. Nobody pays attention at anyone’s nudity, or barely so.
I like the new style
This discussion was SO interesting, and as a Latin I share more of your perspective than Germans’ 😅😂😂
“That you have to pretend that this is somehow normal and they are not looking at you in a sexual way” while the video overall was nice and openminded, this comment really rubs me the wrong way. As a 22 year old woman who loves going to the sauna (always naked and mixed gender) most men don’t look at you sexually at all. Ofc there are always exceptions but it is genuinely not sexual here (no pretending necessary). In my experience no one looks at you in the sauna
For someone who’s used to being naked in the sauna, I can completely understand this is your experience. For someone who is not, the world is viewed through a different lens. That’s why it’s interesting to talk about these cultural differences as there is no right or wrong answer, but different perspectives we can respect 🙂
@@DatingBeyondBorders Of course your experience is not wrong as that’s subjective, but the way you phrased that particular sentence in the video sounded disrespectful in my opinion. To me, you made it sound like the men were staring at you like a piece of meat or something. Which would be an unfair representation of saunas and could scare people off. But this is just my interpretation and I’m sure your intentions were good
It’s just a major cultural difference between Germany and North America. In the US and Canada, nudity is always sexual. While in Germany it is not. So when Americans or Canadians visit Germany, even though we understand this aspect of German society, it is difficult to suddenly change our mindset about nudity because we grew up having it ingrained into us that nudity is always sexual. So her mind automatically going to a place of “oh these men are looking at me sexually” would be totally normal and instinctual for a Canadian.
I guarantee that if a fit man that you found attractive was in that sauna with you, you would feel aroused at some point and you would check him out. At that very moment it becomes sexual. The same for him. Stop normalizing perversion.
The German (and even Nordic) approach to nudity is not the problem; it is the prudishness and over-sexualisation of the idea in the rest of the world which is the real problem. There is nothing sexual whatsoever about going to a FKK beach or a sauna. It’s more a feeling of liberty and people at these places are not gawking at each other. Critical shocked at the notion should really grow up and look in their own mirror to see where the problem really lies.
Kudos on giving it (sauna and FKK beach) a proper go, though…takes bravery!
@@jarrettreckseidlerewwww no way ,never will I be naked
I found your video very interesting. Many thanks for it. However, I (as a German) would advise you to undress yourself before the next interview with people at nude beaches. You will find that people are much more accessible and friendly when you put yourself on the same level with them. But don’t get me wrong. I really admire your courage to try the sauna. And of course it is normal, if it is uncomfortable for you to be alone with another naked men in a sauna cabin for the first time. But that‘s totally normal and you don‘t have to fear anything in such a situation.
Very very interesting topic! Thanks!!
Southern Germany and especially Bavaria never had much of an fkk culture. It was more of a thing in the East and North of Germany.
thank you for making this video. 🙂
Germany nude culture was big in the 90s. Nowadays Germany has become super conservative in comparison. This also has a lot to do with Muslim immigration, who do not accept German or Nordic culture, instead they want to influence it according to their own ideas. These days Spain is much more open about nudity than Germany
I believe that’s true for FKK, but not for saunas. There are much more and much bigger saunas than in the 90s nowadays.
The crazy ones are the Americans who freak out over uncovered body parts, but sell weapons that can make a dozen holes in covered bodies in a second, to the general public who in civilised countries have no business owning weapons.
Yea but it normal to freak out with both g3ns and no cloths on more with g3ns as they can be toward you but doesn mean to ignore this case
Here in Brazil, it’s really unusual to be naked in saunas, probably because it’s a hot country, and people don’t use to go to saunas. There’re some beaches where you can be naked, but usually, this beaches are in places, hided from general scrutiny. I’m going to visit German and Denmark next month and i must confess that if i have the chance to go naked to the sauna, i certainly will. I guess it’ll be at least interesting 😅
