• 3:13 I'd like to think that the avoidant I was involved with did initially mean what he said and had every intention of following through when he said the many things that fell through (but I honestly don't think I'm in a place yet where I can reflect without biases....).
  I do know that things are more expensive than ever and money doesn't go nearly as far as it used to, so some of it may have been financially out of the cards, and he been reluctant and too immature to admit that; which presents its own problems....

  For some context: right before Valentine's Day he ghosted me for about a month. Maybe two or three weeks ago we reconnected and he assured me he would not ghost me again he had been very sick (there may be some truth to being sick but if you wanted to see someone that wouldn't stop you...) my dad went into hospice arrive one week after my avoidant and I reconnected and I told him, asking to hang out as I wanted the distraction, he initially said he couldn't that night but we did get together anyways. But that was the last day of contact and start of yet another ghosting.
  Fast forward to last Monday, my dad was going downhill in hospice and I couldn't get ahold of the avoidant I was seeing, and my dad passed away in his sleep Monday morning. I tried to reach out to the avoidant and couldn't get a text, a call... any reply at all, and I forgot to add that he had previously told me "anything you need help with for your dad I'll help you with, whatever you need" and he volunteered this at the time, zero pressure from me. I went to my best friends that night for moral support and she had texted the avoidant earlier that day telling him about my dad. A few hours go by and ask he says to her is "she's gonna hate me". Then unless you're goal is to make me hate you, why would he not do some damage control at that point? As I still never heard from him (and to today still haven't)
  So I'm really not in a position I can offer any insight I guess

  Yep 7:33 he went weeks awol. I fell for it the first time but I was hoping to get the chance for us to discuss it and work through it as it seemed very out of character. We never discussed it, well not really.

  The really hard and hurtful part is that he's the first serious relationship I tired or was involved in since my fiancé passed away in August 2021, which he knew all about, so it's hard to tell if he didn't want to disappoint be when something changed and inadvertently made things way worse, or if it was more malicious than that.... 😢

  Sorry for the long rant, had to get that out.... Of course there's more but that's the cliffnotes

  Not sure how to kill the emotional investment I have now and I wish I could just hate him and walk away. Would be so much easier

• That’s gaslighting. That was my entire relationship with my ex. He was never wrong & it was always my fault 🤭 thank god I walked away, gracefully. He was what everyone likes to call “a high value man” but he was also extremely low functioning.

• Listening to this video helped realize that each time my ex-fiance would devalued me, criticized me and be little me he would follow up with " you need to humble yourself Linda". Practically each time. This is such an insightful video 😊

• What,s the use in having a man and afraid to ask him for things ? Pointles ,if you ask me,hudge red flag ,run🏃🏃🏃🏃

• I am 65 years old. I choose to have a companion. Back in my day, we were friends, and things were a lot simple. This sounds very draining and complicated.
