I live in the Netherlands and i have these channels included on my internet/tv package!
This is so interesting to learn! And a shocking one. What if you don’t watch TV at all? Like why are they making it mandatory 🫣
Yup, very annoying to pay it. I agree.
It’s Public Service (State-TV Basically) similar to the BBC, SVT, NRK, YLE and to an extent like PBS.
In Italy we have the public television, it’s called “Rai radiotelevisione Italiana”. It’s 3 channels and you have to pay 9€ a month (=10.60$). This tax is added to your electric bill, so you’re forced to pay.
If you stupid you must pay! If you smart than you can avoid!😊
What if I’m blind?
There is little discount. Because you can still hear what’s going on the channel
You’re blind, not deaf😂jokes aside, they’ll do whatever they can to suck our blood one way or another. It seems this is a tv and radio licence fee that exists in many countries around the world. Especially Europe and to some extent African and Asian countries
The way she abuses the word ZDF and her accent makes it obvious that she is actually not german.. 😅
Absolutely, its very obvious
She certainly speaks English with a German accent 🙄
@@vmoses97 No, that is not a german accent. No one actually from from Germany would pronounce the word ZDF in way she does 😂 Its like basic German. Maybe she lives in Germany but she is def from an other country. She also does not look german and actually the way she talks is not typical for people from Germany.
@@vmoses97 maybe to foreigners it may seem like that, but its extremely obvious she is no german 😂 She may live in Germany, but she is still a foreigner. What she says in the video is very true though, unfortunately.
She said she was from Germany but didn’t say she was German
Heirs of the second war.
TIL that Germany has an NHK equivalent
Doctors and medical care are as scarce as gold in Germany 🇩🇪
We have the same problem in the UK with our TV license although there’s so many loopholes in it you pretty much don’t have to end up paying it as long as you don’t watch the BBC or live TV in the UK as of right now. So many people British people cancelled it here maybe an abolishment of it could be on the horizon for us in the near future, they can’t put everyone in Germany in prison for such a trivial law plus I remember reading somewhere that Australia abolished their TV license back in 1999 because almost everyone refused to pay it and it was costing their government more to try and enforce it
Thank god 🇺🇸 doesn’t have this
Yeah you dont have a lot of things in US
Dont come to turkey you will pay many thins like that
Isnt it called Türkiye?
I looked it up. It is basically PBS but without the need to put on the begging bowl B.S.
Looove the Germany videos ❤
Card is the way.
Reminds me of the same issue I had while living in Japan, and having to pay fees for NHK even though I didn’t own a TV.
Its called a TV license?
@@yonathanasefaw9001Sounds about right. Granted I didn’t pay good enough attention when I went on the journeys of apartment hunting. Live and learn.😅
EU bureaucracy isn’t dictatorship.
And Germany is a perfect democracy.
Land who gave birth to Third Reich
That last point about cash..🙂↕️
