Definitely, keeping our individuality intact works for us too!!
Yesss!! Major key 🔑
Interesting you can give a thumbs up, but the number doesn't change??? Look into it.
Explain please ❤
To each is own,if that works for them good. I want to be one with my kingdom spouse and on one accord when it comes to putting GOD at the head of our marriage and allowing him to lead us in our assignment for him.
You are one, but your entire being can’t be your mate. What makes you an individual is what attracts you to one another. Don’t lose that because you lose yourself. Of course you are joined together as one with god at the head. What my pastor said is we also have to remember we are humans. Being married and divorced I learned I cannot lose me in the process as I did 🥰
I think to a certain degree we fall in love with the things that we as a couple are similar to us but different enough to keep us balanced, stretched and complementary. Being able to celebrate each other’s individuality is truly respecting each other for who that person is while becoming one but not losing themselves in the process. They display a great balance to each other because they didn’t ignore their own individuality.
3 marriages between them before this 1?
That is so hectic.
Aside: Laterus's Question on if their current marriage is working seems like shade post knowing that 😂
It is also growth. Lessons learned and the most important thing I learned is learning what marriage truly is it is not about the emotions and the fairytale of being married. It is work and there are some days you won’t like your mate and that is ok
@michellesanders3657 thanks Michelle.
Is it worth it though if sometimes you don't like each other or it feels like "work"?
I get that you need time to understand and learn each other,
Grace to extend and patience and effort.
But if you are really coming together as 1 under God then surely you make each other better, and add value and it's better in covenant than bring alone?
I get that not many really journey on this with God at the center in the 1st place though.
@ i agree, this is how I understood being evenly yoked so there is not a huge divide in being an individual . Our individualism does not cause a big divide
