Typical cold country warm country mentalities.

  • @johngonzalez4298 says:

Happy Sunday, Marina! Great question and great answer and I hope to visit both Greece 🇬🇷 and Germany 🇩🇪 one day

  • @supermanbobby3154 says:

Nudity is a big thing in Greece??
Man, all I see is naked statues everywhere in the country.😂😂

    • @e.v3832 says:

those remnant of ancient(pagan) greece, modern day greeks are orthodox christian like medieval romans(byzantines)

    • @fidemporas says:

Modern Greece and ancient Greece are not the same thing, simple.

    • @galleya-tx3jy says:

@@fidemporas Hey, stop spreading idiotic propaganda. Ancient and modern Greece have been scientifically proven and confirmed to have genetic and cultural continuities from the ancient past to the modern present. Go and look at these proven scientific conclusions if you can even understand them.

    • @galleya-tx3jy says:

@@e.v3832 Well, all of Europe was pagan and/or practiced polytheism before Christianity became the dominant religion of the continent and Europeans became monotheistic. It wasn’t just the Greeks, it was all of the Europeans

    • @e.v3832 says:

@@galleya-tx3jy yes ,but western europe did reform and Renaissance, while greece is not since they were belong more strict sect of christianity which is greek orthodoxy

  • @kyuree says:

    He made a great analysis

  • @silversun7830 says:

In Greece we are fat phobic we dont like obese people in few clothes while in Germany it’s common

  • @mariajoaocoelho24 says:

I’m Portuguese and I identify 200% with his perspective. It’s been a struggle for me avoiding being kind, friendly and warm, as in Germany certain acts of kindness and politeness are rude.
It’s actually sad because that’s one of the aspects I love the most about all our cultures in southern Europe and I’m trying to repress them constantly.
Maybe I need more southern European friends. ❤

    • @bojanstoicevic5374 says:

Thats why I moved back.Less money but more happiness.

    • @mariajoaocoelho24 says:

@@bojanstoicevic5374 I could be absolutely happy at any Southern European country with basically no cultural difference, but Berlin….. Wow, Berlin is the toughest and most hostile place I’ve ever lived in my whole life.
I’m definitely considering going back. Or have an online job that allows me to spend long periods of time down south.

    • @mrzwiebelrostbraten4795 says:

You could do the german approach in the beginning and tell them directly that some things you do/say are received differently in Portugal and that they shouldn’t be mad or weirded out by this. Or when these things happem. And afterwards you could live out your portuguese way more or less. At least with your german friends you have to make them understand. And yes Berlin haha even in the rest of germany their salty personality is known, but they don’t mean it that way.Apparently. I also have a hard time recognizing if they are mad at me or just vibing 😅 Boa sorte

    • @flopunkt3665 says:

Wow. I’m German and i hear about this for the first time. 😅 I can tell you that I’ve never felt repressed because of somebody’s southern or Latino behaviour. I’m actually shocked about who would tell you something like that😮

It’s true that this warm touchy behaviour is not our thing, but that doesn’t mean that i dislike it when others do it.

    • @fixer1140 says:

As a latino I gotta say that I have to force myself and try to be cold, but I just can’t. It’s such a big part of us to be warm, show you some hospitality and feed you to death, so I totally understand this bro

  • @mariaathena7910 says:

As a Greek no nudity is not a big issue 😂

    • @user-my4lf4bx6v says:

      Exactly lol
Maybe in some rural places and with old people, but no one else cares

    • @user-nr7rs3mq3m says:

      On the street?

    • @randomgal says:

Are you naked at the beach around kids? Because some Germans are 😂 They don’t care. For them it is just a human body.

    • @user-ny2fk9gm1k says:

I don’t know Antoine who I know from Greece who has been to Germany or lived here for a bit said it’s different in Greece than here. I also didn’t see any nude people on the beach or in the sauna like I do in Germany. Maybe younger people don’t think like that or idk

  • @tar2c690 says:

The way he’s moving his hands while talking, I have never seen a German doing that

  • @juanpacheco3011 says:

We know instantly of the bat why he really chose to live in Germany 😂

  • @yamatonadeshiko567 says:

I thought Europeans don’t care much about nudity in general
    ..

  • @manueltreill6358 says:

I’m Greek and I definitely disagree with the nudity part. Only elder people will give their usual rant but otherwise I haven’t seen anyone else who cares.

    • @user-ny2fk9gm1k says:

Do you have the comparison though ? In Germany most old people are even more open about nudity than younger ones. I do think there is a cultural difference.

    • @manueltreill6358 says:

@@user-ny2fk9gm1k Personal experiences is how I compare the older vs the younger. They definitely have very different attitudes and I’d say even most middle-aged people stopped caring (not like they do it or adore it or anything, just stopped complaining about it)

    • @Sit2090 says:

I’m Greek also and I, too, disagree with the nudity part. I feel like nudity in Greece has become more increasingly mainstream and less stigmatized as it has let’s say in Greek Americans/Canadians. The seriousness around nudity has shifted in my opinion for the better. People letting others be themselves and focusing on more important things like making sure their is food on the table and that they have a home to come to is a step in the right direction for me.

  • @Frivals says:

    Full video?

  • @camanou1430 says:

With this many cuts I am wondering what he actually said 😅

  • @giwrgospetrou1159 says:

What😂😅😂😅😂😅😂 man i see for the first time a greek guy speaking English this way. I didn’t know we could speak English 😂 ΠΑΜΕ ΜΩΡΉ ΕΛΛΆΔΑ.

  • @janibrahim1091 says:

this is so true me as well as a syrian i say okkay im gonna be formal and reserved with germans but as soon as i see some frindly german i start trating him like family member so sometimes they get confused

  • @dishappywithlife2556 says:

Screw that!! Be yourself and you’ll attract the right people!!

  • @danaikrisiko1226 says:

The balkan countries pressuring you to eat more than you can is honestly the best thing

  • @countryroadtakesmehome3547 says:

Why is it that “warm” cultures (YES, warm cultures: latin european countries like spain, Italy, Portugal, romenia, etc and latín american countries) always have low development as a economy and why is it that cold culture countries are always better at this? Less warm means more correct and therefore less corruption?

  • @ntenimarkorareincarnation4182 says:

In Greece nudity is forbidden for obese people unlike in Germany!!!! But i believe Greek women & German men are match in heaven

  • @Azerbaijan_rose20 says:

Yes. Greeks are passionate. Not germanics
