If you’re always hesitating before asking for their number, chances are you might need be overthinking flirting.

Instead of being a fun part of talking to someone you’re attracted to, so many people I work with feel like flirting is this big, special performance they have to do… and because they don’t yet feel comfortable flirting, assume that they’re missing the secret recipe to asking someone out.

If your lack of confidence with flirting is holding you back, let’s keep this far, far simpler.

If you’ve started a conversation with someone (online or IRL), if you’ve expressed that you’re enjoying speaking to them, and you’ve asked them to meet up. That is enough!!

In fact, much more than that in a first interaction could feel like way too much.

So don’t let your fear that you haven’t done “enough”, or you’re not good enough hold you back from asking someone on a date. #shorts

Ooph now this is a tricky subject. I’m not here to shame you for feeling attraction to her, but you do have to be careful about how you express that attraction. Women deal with A LOT of unwanted attention, and you don’t want to accidentally put yourself in the “urgh, not again” bracket when you talk to her.

So you’ve got to balance expressing interest in a way that’s clear enough to be understood (that rules asking for directions out…) without over shooting and ending up making both of you feel awkward.

My rule of thumb for this is to avoid all bodily compliments (that means no mention of her eyes, her smile, her legs!) and instead complimenting how she does something. “I like how confidently you just walked in here”, “I like how elegant you are…” walks the line!
