Donovan decrcribed mature love as boring, I agree. He also described it as a grind. Not in a healthy, mature love. I am in my 60s with the same woman for decades. We have the occasional disagreement, but it is not a never ending grind. She took care of me during my illnesses. It might have been a grind to her. But she chose to stay with me. But also know there was an ending, which I'm happy to say I have greatly recovered from. It's very simple, she takes care of me & the kids as a job, and I take care of her & the kids, as a job.
