• From my memory, when I was a young lad, pre-dating apps, women went out to bars and clubs in order to humiliate men, not attract them.

• What's even worse is even though I've never used dating apps, I still have to contend with the fact that any woman I meet out in the wild is using them.
  Old school rizz just isn't enough anymore, I'm competing with dozens of preening, simping clowns in her DMs.
  I find myself wasting too much energy: choosing the right emoji etc, so I'm not ghosted. I just can't be arsed with dating, it's just so insincere these days.

• Cuz 5/10 women walk around like they're 10/10s and bring nothing to the table.

• Paradox of choice - a well studied area. The other thing, single women tend to keep women single. Most women don't put the effort in to work out what they really want. They play the field using men and exploiting them. They build up all this experience they carry forward and compare their current guy with past guys - never leads to happiness and just string men along who have not idea what the relationship dynamic is. And lets face it Chad and Tyron in their past they can never get over, yet they still string men along in relationships as backups who are the providers.

  Not saying men don't do crappy stuff, it is socially acceptable for women to do this to men, that is the difference.

• Yes I agree, dating apps are a waste of time, I’m old school, go out and meet up, to many scammers online & I love a challenge it builds confidence within , as just started going out again, it might be hours drive from or closer, but it’s worth it

• Hi Kezia, i grew up taking advice from the likes of Neil Strauss aka the game, your early books and even Richard la Ruina. These guys don't seem to be around anymore, so you are the only name i now recognise out there. I have been out of the game for over 10 years and now find myself back on the dating scene. As i am now in my early 50s, i don't do the club scene anymore, would you recommend day game for the more mature chap? Any advice appreciated! • I met my wonderful wife of over 18 years online in 2001 and it went smoothly.
  She passed 4 years ago and eventually when I started to look online again, I noticed everything had changed for the worse.
  I don't go out to bars, honestly never met anyone meaningful in one and short of bumping into her at the grocery, I don't know what to do.

  • I can relate to your story . I met someone wonderful online 20 years ago. We we married for 14 years . She passed 7 years ago. When got back to online dating all I see are golddiggers and liars. What happened is that we met our wives PRIOR to social media.

    It's a complete disaster now. I gave up !
