Shouldn’t you feel happy about what you were able to share in that moment (as it’s rare to be able to be vulnerable w others) and long for this sort of connection
Maybe they drunkenly repeat it because it’s easier to overcome the awkwardness and establish a friendship!
Then how are you supposed to make friends in those places?
You dont

Relatable
Aka me over sharing when I’m drunk and seeing you a day or two later completely sober.
Let me know when you go for a drink then 😂
Joke aside, none should be ashamed of his background, even if they narrates it while being wasted 🙂
Most of the time I just go directly to I want to kill myself
friends make you
New Zealand in a nutshell hahaha
Happy Tuesday, Marina!
😂 what is it about Tuesday ?
It seems very fascinating
Ive met a Swedish person who I felt was over sharing and then one day he just disappeared.
There’s nothing to be embarrassed of tho
Hey , I’m here again 👋🏼🇸🇪

That’s a worldwide scenario, certainly not just a Norwegian one.
That’s usually how it is in the Western world. It is hard to make friends, and Norway is no exception. I have been living in the United States since 1996, and it is very hard to make friends with Americans. All of my friends are foreign, such as Hispanics, Arabs, and Africans.
Normal.
1. You have little social energy sober.
2. Drinking gives to social rocket fuel.
3. Next day sober & you have little energy again.
4. You drink again days later & the cycle repeats.
5. Just follow your sober goals/ways.
6. Life/time/energy *IS* limited, if it wasn’t then we could be friends & lovers with everyone..not possible…cause of human limitations.
The solution is stop their oversharing, tell them to get a therapist, and go on to mutually fun subjects.
Men do the same thing – use their dates as therapy lessons. Ive had to cut that off a few times. Its not that fun being your emotional dumping ground, so dont allow it. And there is a difference berween mutual sharing and being a emotional trashcan for them.
Or dont go to norway thats notoriously hard to make friends with. I see so many flights there, and im like, why? So i can sit at a bar by myself and not socialize with anyone? Sounds fun 🙄
Where I’m from that’s called “being drunk”
He’s a cutie.
It’s a very similar story in Germany too
Funny enough sometimes we latinos also start telling our entire life story to strangers, I’ve done that, my mother has done that and even a waitress we met while on holiday did that . The difference is that we are not so embarrassed XD
That’s too bad because I would feel closeness if someone over share towards me. I would take it as a privilege that someone opens up to me. There’s no such thing as too soon because it will happen sooner or later anyway so might as well cut to the chase. But again perhaps why I’m ghosted cause i over share too soon. Stay authentic and let it filter the people who will appreciate the way you are.
This guy at the end:
“Oh crap. I’ve said too much. I’ve been too vulnerable” 😂
This explains so much. I worked with a Norwegian guy in Australia and he overshared so much about his life, when he left the job he just never responded to my messages or stayed in touch (we never hooked up, just work friends) so i dont understand why he didnt want to stay in contact 🙁
As a Canadian…I’m exactly like this. It’s like, what do I say to you now? I’ve already told you everything!
