Ignoring the narcissist is, like you mentionned, the best way to get them off your back. They are not getting any reaction from you and they move on. Thank God, cause they are very toxic people.
Amazing one

I can handle interactions with the narcissist, what is hard to deal with is when you live in a rural area and they are oh-so-wonderful in public. When they take on the victim role, they involve community members in their drama, which then affects the status in the community, in shared social circles and oftentimes in your workplace as well when these outside people are your customers/clients.
In my experience with a person like this is to just leave them alone and move on; dont give them long sentences and responses... that little boy must be my ex ...
I cant with this peeps... just let these toxic peeps go....
Thank you, Mat, keep watching your videos is my ritual to maintain living mentally healthy. I really get it, in romantic relationships. But what if the narcissists are your own parent and siblings? I find it's still tough to disconnect from them completely,..... they're also the victims of what their parents have done to them,..... I've been in this situation for 50 years,.... do you know the best way to relate to them? Love, Kumiko
With any narcissistic person, family or not, walk away for your mental and emotional well being. Soooo much healthier!! They will drain your soul if you don’t hold your ground. Absolutely exhausting.
Wow!
Omg that is so true. I feel like I've just been hit over the head lol. My husband was, in a roundabout way, making fun of me for gaining weight and I decided to totally ignore his comments and acknowledge nothing and he completely stopped!!! I wasn't giving him the reaction he wanted.
Thank you for sharing... I have learned how to deal with toxic family members by controlling my trigger-responses (aka: keeping my mouth shut, instead of engaging) and just saying "no thank you" to enforce my boundary of being controlled. That I don't owe any explanation for protecting my peace has set me free. ❤ Now, the question is, do I try again with my estranged narc spouse, with my gained knowledge/understanding? I still love and miss him deeply, in spite of being away from him for going on 5 years. 😢
@@marevagodfrey7529 thank you!
@rezotydnic thank you... I know you are right! 🧡
Narcissist don't change. Ask yourself do you want a partner you have to 'deal' with as opposed to having a partner who is truly supports, encourages, and loves all of you, just as you are?
No, don't do that! Keep moving forward towards your best life. Keep working on yourself.
