Been there with a southern accent and got looked at like a 3rd world citizen. Funny enough, most of the hate was from blacks that moved there who weren’t even native but sure liked to act like they were.
That is exactly why they hate mainlanders because we could not leave them alone and instead we dominated them as you say. They were simple people who wanted to live simply but we raised their prices and are dominating them.
Nobody cares they are weak and therefore there is consequences to their inadequacies
