He didn’t want her to wear her..hair down, and should have listened to her concerns, but he could have countered that a bit of tan line would make her future outfits look twice as attractive. He also might have asked her to lose the hat and wear sunscreen instead so her hair will develop pretty highlights and will grow twice as thick.
A good pilot gives orders, listens to concerns, and appreciates fine-tuning suggestions for the next round of orders. A controlling pilot seems controlling because they’re being ignorant to some of the details of the situation.
