I asked Norwegians what Norwegian stereotype is the most true in their opinion and which is not so true, and here is what they had to say.

Norway. Beautiful country, stunning women but interaction like talking to ChatGPT

  • @Sammi_Kristiansen says:

My fav Marina and Norwegian people are all in the same videos. Life is good! 😍 Thank you!

  • @Joe-eg7ml says:

It’s sad they have to get drunk to even open up and/or talk to a person. Resided in Sweden and they seem like this. Just going on a morning stroll and saying hi to a person you see every morning going for a walk is out of the ordinary.

    • @Seanonyoutube says:

Yeah it’s a bit weird and seems rather unhealthy.

    • @Joe-eg7ml says:

@@Seanonyoutube well there are some outliers. My wife is from Sweden and she has a very outgoing personality and doesn’t need alcohol to talk to people.

    • @OverTheVoids says:

I mean, even in more social societies it still helps. Obviously the Northern Europeans take it to the extreme. As someone who comes from the US, there is definitely a capability to socialize without alcohol, but the downside is that much of that talking is just small talk for the sake of making noise. Like it’s interesting (and unhealthy in its own way) seeing how horribly uncomfortable people can get here if everyone just sits there in silence, yet people in a country like Finland will just huddle around a fire to drink and merely enjoy each other’s physical company / presence.

    • @ae-jo5gc says:

@@Joe-eg7mlyou know that it is just a stereotype right? Scandinavians live normal life with normal friends just like everyone else.

    • @Joe-eg7ml says:

@@ae-jo5gc I have resided and married a Scandivian. And during my time in Sweden there is some truth to this sterotype of course there are outliers such as my wife . But pretty much everyone keeps to themselves. They don’t like small talk. And only time a Norewegian guy was friendly and really talkative was when he was drunk….lol!

  • @user-zq5kd6we3y says:

I am impressed of their English level!!! Bravo!

    • @twilightofthezone says:

Didn’t you hear him speak about meeting new people? You’re gonna need some Preparation H to go along with that tight sphincter.

  • @quelodequelo says:

    πŸ€”
    Italian: rebel kid
    Japanese: disciplined kid
    Norwegian: alcohol addicted introverted teen

    • @lpdude2005 says:

Not at all. Norwegians drink very little alcohol – only 50% of the EU average. We also drink weak beer and spirit with a low alcohol content

    • @junotraung8547 says:

@@Shirumoon Scandinavians (at least Swedes and Norwegians) tend to drink mostly during the weekends. When we actually do drink we do it properly (get wasted) which makes it easier for everyone to socialize. I think that’s why they’re mentioning alcohol so much. It’s basically the easiest and most common way to meet new people here. Although this is almost exclusively during the weekends or the holidays, regular weekdays we barely drink and if we do it’s mostly light stuff which might be the answer to why we statistically drink less than in other cultures where it’s normal to have one glass every day.

    • @Me_di says:

@@Shirumoonthey’re lying and being manipulative because they want it to seem like they are perfect and dont like it when anyone makes fun of the perfect narcissistic image of themselves they die to keep.
In reality they say β€œcatch him in the 5th beer to have seggs” so imagine several of the β€˜weak’ beers will turn strong on the 6th and he will blackout so no seggs

  • @Seanonyoutube says:

This is fantastic. Your bubbly personally was the perfect way for me to end my evening on a happy note πŸ˜„

  • @TheManfredo says:

I work 30 meters from that ATM. Cheapest 0,5l beer in that street 😁

  • @lxportugal9343 says:

“People are huging and showing emotions”

    😁😁😁 that was funny

  • @johngonzalez4298 says:

Happy Thursday, Marina! Hope you’re having an awesome trip in Norway πŸ‡³πŸ‡΄. Sending my love from Miami, Florida, USA πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡²

  • @gliboperuta9213 says:

great interviews Marina. i think its fascinating to learn about nordic peoples habits and way of life ❀ its insane how expensive a normal 0,5 litre 5% alcohol beer is. you can buy a full six pack for the same price in my countryπŸ˜‚

  • @chloeanastasia8440 says:

Thanks for contagious smile and bubbly personality ! Great way to start the day ❀

  • @karenhackney9920 says:

So, Norway is a introverts dream come true. 🀣

  • @ilhuicatlamatini says:

Ha! who was that random guy in the middle of vid drinking in a snowy frozen lake?!πŸ₯ΆπŸ˜‚ That really made me laugh with how it popped up from nowhere. The alcohol price thing….hmm, idk but it was actually similar seeming to the kind of prices here in US for liquor/wine πŸ€” So it didn’t strike me as excessive lol.

    • @arcticblue248 says:

He had a youtubechannel where he did stuff like that, but he died in a accident while doing a stunt… think he called himself Ape Tor or Apetor… something like that.

  • @baldviking1970 says:

As a Norwegian born and bred, I must say some of this is true, and it is so sad πŸ˜” Even if the video is funny πŸ™‚

  • @ragcatdoll says:

that bottle of Bacardi costs 11€ or 12€ in Germany last time I checked. 52$ is crazy

  • @Floortile says:

What a fabulous video – had be enthralled (and ready to book my ticket to Oslo!).

  • @m4rt_ says:

Not everyone in Norway drink alcohol.
We can have fun and socialize without it, we just don’t walk up to strangers and begin talking with them out of nowhere.
