This is so true!! I remember worrying about my parents and wondering if they would be getting a divorce several years before it happened. They tried reassuring us that it wouldn’t, but it was lesser of two evils deciding between daily shouting matches and divorce. But I’m glad it happened and that it’s over now.

To me, I believe the kids suffer the most from parents splitting up/divorce.

I agree with you Stephan 💯👏🏼 kids need to know.

Parents shouldn’t hide the truth from their kids because eventually they’re going to find out…
sometimes from someone else other than the source, like their parents.

Also, parents shouldn’t put their kids in the middle of their mess or force them to choose a side. That’s just wrong👎🏽
Parents shouldn’t speak negative things about the other parent or even if there’s a new person in one of the parent’s life, they shouldn’t speak wrongfully about them either.
If your kids are old enough to understand, Sit down with them & speak the truth.
Your wrong choices in life can be a valuable lesson for them… not to put any parent down or their parenting skills… I believe if a child knows about of certain paths & choices that they make, they will have a better understanding how it can lead to some very harsh & devastating consequences.
Parents need to equip their children for life.

Can you speak to being in a relationship with someone who has a mental illness and they refuse to get counseling or take their meds. I am healing from a dramatic breakup because he wasn’t honest about his condition and when he spiraled out of control I had to let go. Let go of someone I was spiritually connected to. A God fearing, loving man who turned into a demon because of his illness.

As they say ” Share, don’t scare”. Children only need enough just to know they are still loved and safe, and there’s nothing they are responsible for.

An unhealthy relationship in the household is a terrible place for a child. Your completely right truth is always best especially for kids ❤️

Thank you for this, I really needed to hear this. I’ve been compromising my values and sense of self for someone who I know in my gut I shouldn’t be with. Always trust your gut and instincts. No man or woman should ever settle or try to convince themselves to be with the wrong person. Know your worth!
