When I met my husband I thought he was weird. After working with him two weeks I realized he was just shy. Within two months I knew he was the one. I was so blessed to marry him and have him show me what real love was. He sadly passed away three years later. He wasn't in an age bracket I would have picked or the looks I would have picked or even lifestyle. Yet we were magic together. Perfect love.

Chemistry has to be aroused just a bit by someone or no matter how many "chances" you give yourself with a new person romantic progress will wain. A platonic relationship may develop but abiding coupling love will not. Agree, one should give it a try but not lead someone on. That is cruel.
I have to agree. First of all, being widowed for 7 years, I really wasn't interested in dating at all. A friend introduced me to my sweetheart at an activity. At another get-together, with 2 matchmakers tag teaming me, my upcoming birthday came up. He leaned over, "Allow me to take you to dinner for your birthday." I'm so happy now that I listened to my intuition and gave him a chance.
I must be interested to a guy and be able to sustain that interest by knowing him little by little then that is the time when I know that maybe there is a chance for a relationship with him if I fall deeper than just being interested, when I finally know that I could accept him for who he is and pray that he accepts me for who I am too. I may not be able to end up with guys I had interest in the past but I am certainly not afraid to reject someone if he is not my type. 😊
