  • Dude! This video!! I wish I'd seen this much sooner lol. In the beginning with my fiance, I can look back now and every single one of the things you described was there. I expected the "over" but he actually did the "under" so that threw me off. I took it as him being guarded. The physical thing: yep! 3 months lol. Friends and family ✅✅. He was transitioning so the friends made sense. The family thing didnt make sense til I understood their toxic dynamic. I thought he was totally not as into me as I was into him. We influence each other for sure. I've never had that with anyone. But that awkwardness, I caught that and that's when I knew I was hooked lol. There was alot of frustration on my end in the beginning and I almost walked away til he finally got very direct lol. #married2022

  • @@tracym6652 I can tell you that my sense of humor has never failed me. If you were to ask my fiance what drew him to me (yes. I asked lol), he says my intelligence and sense of humor, then something about my looks.

    It could be that he's transitioning from one type of lifestyle to another to better himself for the person he's interested in - but his friends are from the old lifestyle. (For example: used to be a party guy who went out drinking with buddies - but now is more career focused but doesn't have those career focused friends, only the drinking buddies. So he doesn't want to introduce the girl to the drinking buddies and get the wrong impression.)

    My husband did this with me except it was more his friends from school drifted into the lifestyle of drugs and alcohol and he didn't - but he still had a heart for his friends even though he limited his interactions for times when they showed they were trying to move beyond it. He also withheld family member interactions with me too because he came from a very broken home and his family members... well... they will take advantage of you if they can find a way. He protected me from them. After his passing I saw all of it. They even put up a gofundme for myself and our child - but I have not seen a penny of what they raised and it's been 4 years since he passed.... so, yeah... there's that.

• Lol!! This is making me laugh, bc it is so true. When we were hanging out, in the “getting to know each other” phase, my bf squirmed around, and said things like “umm...so...you are really interesting” I was like “yes, I AM interesting....and fun too!” He smiled and goes, “yeah, you are, and I really enjoy spending time with you”, I go “thanks, I am pretty awesome!” He says, “yeah, so umm....”, I am vibing that he wants to ask me something serious, so I say “Are you trying to ask me something?” He goes, “umm yeah...I just umm, would you want to be with me?” I look at him, and go “I would be agreeable to that”. He smiled and loosened up a bit and goes, “so you are my girlfriend then?” I said, “yeah, that would be good”. It IS good. He is a super sweet and caring guy, kinda quirky, and kind. I am interested to see where this goes... 😊

  • That's awesome. My bf is the same way very sweet he was awkward, actually listened to what I had to say on topics and even researches to have an opinion on it if he wasn't familiar. • All of this is so true. Especially because my boyfriend never did anything physical or made any move and held off on that and I got so frustrated! So eventually I asked him, if he likes me, why hasn't he done anything or made any physical moves? And he said because he waited for someone like me his whole life he wanted to make everything perfect and special. It was soooo sweet

The reason I ask is I’ve been talking to this guy for a while now (about 3 weeks) and he’s told me that he wants to hang out soon but he’s not sure when.
