  Another strategy I’ve found helpful is limiting pre-date communication. As Stephan mentioned, too much texting or calling can create a false sense of intimacy and set unrealistic expectations. • A ft or phone call before meeting can be a good way to see if you’ll vibe but I 100000% agree with Stephen in not talking too much on the phone IN GENERAL. Same with texting etc. We only have a limited amount of free time and if you let them monopolize your free time it will bleed into your responsibilities.

  I don’t tell anyone about a guy until it’s going in the direction to be serious. Then I want to get input from a bestie. At that point they’re usually reaffirming what I’ve been feeling or not and it gives me the courage to pursue forward or cut it off if I’ve been unnecessarily holding on.
