I TOTALLY agree with “Block him on everything and remove his stuff.” I started to throw the “ish” he gave me right into the dumpster but Instead I decided to donate some to charity and sold the rest. Resuming my maiden name really helped too. I didn’t see the point in keeping “his” last name. It was a longgg journey but worth it! I had to change my name on my social security card, driver’s license, passport, credit cards, banking, educational records, dental/medical records, email addresses, legal documents, etc. Yep…EVERYTHING. Good riddance! Thank God for new beginnings and healing!

Getting things off your chest should be done in a calm and courteous manner as to not stir up conflict. It makes it more encouraging for the other person to want to listen, instead of when one is being rude,etc.
Honesty is always the best policy. Besides lying to that person of why they’re being cut off is not helping them understand what they may need to work on.

Stephan, you’re absolutely right! I applied some of these tips, but I must admit, it was hard!!! especially when the man is generally nice, but we were not compatible. Our values and goals in life didn’t align, and it was becoming very uncomfortable and stressful.
