Brazilians (Cariocas) Do THIS When Dating 🇧🇷

I went to Rio de Janeiro to ask Brazilians about their dating scene and I found out that all Brazilians (Cariocas) that I interviewed told me they all had this.. This is an oldie from a few years back.

Brazilian are easy, not serious, and not committed. No wonder their fame.

  • @Jivris says:

Theres also the chance that they are liars

I need to be around Brazilians now

Happy Sunday, Marina! This is useful information

this is so sad, Living in a hypersexualized environment.

    my gawd, loose moral values

    • @lejlatiric says:

      Yep. So disgusting

    • @gustavalbericchidurocher9764 says:

Moral values dont need to be connected with sexuality
The fact that elders put a lot of their morals onto exactly it blinds us from this

    • @gustavalbericchidurocher9764 says:

The way I see it, they are friendly ane lovely, which are great moral values most countries lack

    • @erzascarlet5078 says:

@@gustavalbericchidurocher9764they may have friendlier personalities than westerners but clearly need sexual education lol (let’s not forget stds/ stis are a thing).

    • @gustavalbericchidurocher9764 says:

@@erzascarlet5078 lets?? Because if they werent a thing, or in other words: if people use condoms what is the problem?

  • @twilitezn says:

    Also :
ALL Brazilians are NOT Cariocas!!! Those are ppl from Rio! Each region have their own apelido (nickname) :
    From Bahia : baianos/baianas
    From Sao Paolo : paulistos/paulistas
    From Minas Gerais : mineiros/mineiras

    • @alexandremartins7103 says:

There are NOT PaulistOs! PaulistAs are the same, masculine or feminine!
      Learn some Portuguese!😅

    • @twilitezn says:

@@alexandremartins7103 my apologies (I DO know portuguese….), but thought that Rio was the only region that used the feminine to describe everyone…Bahia – where I learned – uses both…

    • @alexandremartins7103 says:

@@twilitezn Ok, no problem! Have a nice day.👍

    • @MateusVIII says:

@@twilitezn it can varie a lot. Some states like Amazonas also have a fixed form for masculine and feminine (Amazonense). The ones that end with “a” can be tricky because you usually associate it with a femine word, even though it can be a masculine one (We would say “o paulista” and “a paulista”, so it is not that “paulista” is in the feminine, it just doesn’t have a gender declination). Still very nice observation.

Oh and I wouldn’t use the word “apelido”, it can work with context but the more correct term would be “gentílico” (like gentilic in english) because apelido has a bit of an informal conotation and those are actually official “designations” that work like nationalities (same way as you would say new-yorker or texan).

    • @twilitezn says:

@@MateusVIII thanks for the clarification Mateus! 👍🏾. Always willing to learn! 🥳

  • @DatingBeyondBorders says:

A quick note: contatinho can mean anything from someone you flirt with over text to friends with benefits. Also we filmed this in Rio which is renowned for being the most fun loving city in Brazil

    • @Joergvf says:

Friends with benefits would be “amizade colorida” or “amigo colorido”.
“Contatinho” doen’t have a proper translation. It’s a contact, someone you can call to MAYBE have something. More like a “booty call”

    • @iumynaeuropa says:

If “contatinho” doesn´t mean “friends with benefits”… why was this the translation chosen for the subtitles?

    • @Joergvf says:

@@iumynaeuropa probably because the person who translated it is not Brazilian, and lack a more deep knowledge of Brazilian slangs.
It was close enough, but it might lead to some misinterpretation. Like people might think most Brazilians would have a friend’s with benefits relationship, which is not the case

    • @iumynaeuropa says:

      @@Joergvf I agree 100%.
The people were so kind to give a funny interview and the editor didn’t even bother to find someone who really knows our slang to make an accurate translation of what they wanted to say… in the end looks more like a clickbait leading to misinterpretation. And to a bunch of comments with ridiculous assumptions about the country’s culture based on a video with poorly translated slang.

    • @nonombre4738 says:

Yes I definitely love those videos that only make single Brazilian women be more sexually harassed abroad, including at work. And I’ve never had more partners than any European or Australian girl I’ve ever met. Go to hell with this disgraceful video. It’s not fun

  • @MountainWomen says:

    I’d be worried for STD’s 🫥

  • @mikeylejan8849 says:

    Brazil is so great

  • @bugra320 says:

I am curious about the STD occurences in Brazil

  • @rafaelrp07 says:

I’m brazilian and it takes me weeks going out or chatting through app to find a ‘contatinho’. But in Rio…they’re naughty…

  • @pg618 says:

I lived in Latin America for many years all over and I can tell you these are just typical liars in their exaggeration and then in their consistent infidelity and unfaithfulness.

  • @louisevillela1920 says:

Just to clarify. Most of them probably don’t mean “friends with benefits” in the American sense of actually sleeping with friends. They mean they have someone who is not serious they hang out and kiss sometimes.

  • @emmet.0456 says:

God bless all the Brazilian people

  • @joecod298 says:

I’m a Brazilian guy from Rio(24yo) and can definitely say that this is not true principally for men.

Of course there are some Brazilians men who do it and I believe it is way easier for Brazilian girls too.

But there are some guys in the video who are lying or getting any women they see in the clubs.

Again, as a Brazilian guy from Rio, I Do NOT follow this “culture” and most young men I know also do not do it.

  • @PaletaLee says:

As a brazilian girl from the south, I avoid stepping in Rio at all costs.

  • @bavariancarenthusiast2722 says:

Brazil is a beautiful country with a lot of color, amazing unbelievable beautiful nature. Learn Portuguese and visit it to make up your own mind, it’s worth it! I am talking based on my personal experience.

  • @lemmings6516 says:

When I was in Latin America I was so confused why everyone cheated and it was all so dramatic and secret 😀 in Germany we call it an open relationship and do the same and it’s fine but the latins really seem to love the drama and betrayal lol
