Canadian Girl on Biggest Culture Shocks Dating a Mexican Man 🇲🇽
Jenny from Canada shares the biggest culture shocks she's experienced while dating her Mexican ex-boyfriend, from the punctuality, to the machista attitude to the conversations about emotions.
So she’s a liberal smh
When you’re used to being entitled in Canada and the rest of the non-western world doesn’t operate that way 😂
Good to know what you’re about and what you’re not willing to compromise on, good for her
The Mexican guy definitely dodged a bullet
She to woke and most men would past on her right off the bat
Fr lmao
She likes to be in control that’s all .. I know a lot Americans always late to my appointments.
Exactly,, she’s used to simps
As a Mexican myself I can honestly say that you ain’t a real Mexican unless you’re late everywhere 🤣🤣🤣
It’s a stereotype, not all of us are like that. I’m Mexican American, and I’m on time to both personal and professional events; I respect my time and that of others. Yes, sometimes unforeseen situations happen, but it’s rare.
You’re American not Mexican
You grew up in America, not Mexico. You would not be able to live in american society being 2 hours late for everything so you adapted to that. Your parents are not the only ones that influence your culture, the society you grow up in does so as well.
That’s why gringos of Mexican (or any latino nationality) will never be the same as latin american citizens. The environments are just far too different.
He wasnt that into her. I say that as a mexican, i will always be on time for my girl.
So why waste her time for 3 years ?
@@CJ-ft9yo Green card maybe.
@@Martinez-sn5qfGreen card from a Canadian to live in the US? 🤔
@@Mczzin whatever is equivalent there
I am Brazilian and I hate when people get super late at the meeting or something. Thankfully I don’t fit into that stereotype. However, living here in Canada, I guarantee to you all that there are cultures where punctuality is far way worse than the latinos.
What cultures for example?
Monterret? Well northern mexicans are known for usually being conservative and havibg the “man rules” mentality
“Happy wife, happy life” is one of the most cruel, toxic and egocentric concepts of a relationship. If you aren’t able to value his feelings and needs in an equal standard, you are just a spoiled person.
Modern woman mentality.
@@marcopolo1765 old men mentality wasn’t better
Are you her ex? What man feelings when he is late for 1,2 hours. You can fix your cultural thing for a girl. He was toxic as to see from her story
@@marynadebourbon3168 no, may God forbid ; no-one needs to change “cultural thing” for anyone, mainly if you don’t want to (why don’t she change, then, and be more patient and understanding, and adaptable, and resilient? Why should men change, instead?)
@@marynadebourbon3168 he will be whatever she wants him to be according to her biased report.
Man, she raised so many red flags… Leave now
I dont see any.. she’s just normal human being. The mexican dude on the other way, man..
FACTS
Hahaha it’s true, time is something ethereal in Mexico 😂
She pronounced Monterrey so cringe 🫣
I’m German and I never could fit in with punctuality. Moved to Greece, married a Greek and feel like I’ve always belonged here 😅
lol nice
Are you a German man? They are stereotyped as very strict in Greece, you are a special one.
@@_my_insomnia_blink562 I’m a German woman. I’ve met a few German women who are very happy in Greece, but not many men.
@@helgaioannidis9365 Gut gemacht! 😊🎉 Viele Grüße ins wunderschöne Griechenland!
@@helgaioannidis9365 there are 10 times more German men with Greek women! I grew up with kids of German fathers & Greek mothers actually Greek men would never consider dating or worse marrying a German woman since German women are considered unattractive by Greek men bad girlfriends and cold !!!
Feliz Jueves, Marina ❤! Saludos desde Miami, Florida, USA
I grew up in Mexico, with a Mexican dad and American mom. Everyone there had a very easygoing, relaxed attitude about time. It was a very low-pressure, go with the flow attitude- which made life more enjoyable than being super strict and uptight. And nobody was offended or inconvenienced because it was understood that everyone was on a late timeline. Even after we moved back to the States, if someone was ever late, my mom would joke that they’re on “Mexico time” 😂 (and my dad always let my mom be in charge, so I guess that depends on the couple).
Being on time doesn’t make one “uptight” lmao
Not being punctual is disrespectful af
Why?
@@joelm7621 respecting other people’s time
Exactly
So she loves the race, but not the culture. I get it.
Don’t blamer about the on time thing. I went on a date with the columbian woman and waited an hour and a half for her to show up. I’m Peruvian I grew up in the States. Being punctual for me is showing A sign of respect.
i would’ve left bro thats too long, and you’re right being punctual is a sign of respect
Agreed
I’m Peruvian as well, punctuality was never an issue when I lived there.
I’m peruvian too (Peruvian-Venezuelan, I’ve lived in canada since I was 7) and Peruvians specifically don’t have a punctuality issue
@@valbea9958 I think it’s agreed, this lady is going to miss out on Peruvian loved because of a disrespectful Mexican.
