I’d argue that good ole boy networking is more of a problem than DEI hiring… I guarantee by the time a black person becomes a pilot or a doctor or any job that carries a huge responsibility where people lives are at risk that the black people are probably more qualified because black people have gate keepers going over their qualifications with a fine tooth comb while ignoring and excusing red flag in white people…. id also agure that DEI makes it harder for a gate keeper to overlook qualified black people in favor of a white person becomes the person doing the hiring knows or has working with his dad…

@@Dorkster81exactly those black people were discriminated against because of the color of their skin smh these people still qualify just as much as a regular candidate. I was doing armed security at a gas station and overheard the hiring manager tell the cashier “ I want to hire somebody, but only black people keep applying” smh As if black people aren’t qualified to even be a cashier at a gas station smh. Discrimination is real you can try and downplay a black experience if you aren’t black but it’s a real thing and you really know deep down

Her first days on her own, shes confused, doesnt know what to do

She literally had 2 months training like me

by the 2nd week, shes breaking rules that the AIRPORT will fire u

Me and others have to stop her “STOP!!! u cant drive under a wing if a plane”

and thats the first thing they teach u when on the job “never go under a wing of a plane”

AND IF DONOVAN reads this i bet 100-1 he like “omg why is she still working there”

She already ran over her own foot with a cart that tows luggage

And dei isnt for “people who got discriminated against din past”

They have a quota

So if a company had zero black people
They will question “why no blacks?” And in their hiring it says 3/4 blacks tried
But didnt hire”. Companies will say “why not? You know we might get sued for discrimination…. Hire a black dude, even better BLACK WOMAN”

And u know this for a fact?
donovans point is he wants a certain amount beyond training standards of flying

For instance almost all jobs, you go to the senior agent or worker because they tend to know more

Like i work ramp for planes. I always talk to twi people both have 7 years ramp experience

I dont go to the new guy or girl whos 19 super strong and eager……

No i go to the two senior agents 7 years for anwsers

Same with flying

You dont want the new people who just finished the REQUIRED amount of flight time required

You want the pilot who has 7 years flying, work at american, then did japan airways for 3 years and now works local USA planes 3-4 hour flights

Why because he has 3-4 times more flight experience than new people….
