Do DUTCH Want to Date a Dutch or a Foreigner?

I asked Dutch on the streets of the Netherlands whether they would prefer someone from the Netherlands or a foreigner. Here is what they had to say.

“I like Dutch guys , they are tall” correct πŸ˜‚ , being tall , especially for a man is indeed relevant

    • @nicossbots says:

just like it’s relevant for a girl to be good looking

    • @Frivals says:

@@nicossbotsyou can’t control your height, but you can control how good looking you are

    • @Iflie says:

Those women were really tall themselves and so if you want a guy who’s taller than you dutch men are the way to go. Most dutch women I grew up with didn’t think about that as much, they take taller for granted and were not as tall themselves. I’m short , so there are very very few dutch men shorter than me or even the same height. So nothing to worry about.

    • @marcosantonio9987 says:

I am like … I am handsome but I am 5’7… Damn that’s harsh kkkk

    • @Iflie says:

@@marcosantonio9987 There are plenty of women shorter than you at that height.

  • @carl_11 says:

-The two Dutch ladies : “we love Dutch guys , tall , blonde and handsome” – also the two dutch ladies : “what’s wrong with Dutch men ? They never approach us” πŸ˜‚ a country with many Chads

    • @legolas7r says:

I think its a cultural thing.

If a Dutch guy approaches a girl in Holland to get her attention , the Dutch girl will see him as a needy weak man.

    • @Daniel-gw2ts says:

@@legolas7rNot just in The Netherlands men can see as weak or needy , most of the countries today are like that

    • @The-Cat says:

      @@Daniel-gw2ts Western countries.

Men are still expected and accepted to approach women in Asia/Africa ( as a man naturally would)

    • @Onche518 says:

@@The-Cat Only Northern countries. In France, Spain, Italy it’s still the dude who has to approach

    • @The-Cat says:

@@Onche518 give it another 5 years for it to completely change. Gen Z are consuming the crap that poisoned the north

  • @youdj_app says:

I lived in the Netherland, and if you are from a latin country like me, feeling emotions and stuff, be prepared to have your heart a bit scratched by the “coldness” of the dutch women, or the culture in general :D. That’s being said, dutch people are very friendly at first, but if you want to connect deeper, they start to be very cautious ;). If you love electronic music, that’s the country for you tho. Thanks for the video Marina!

    • @hakanstorsater5090 says:

I’d have guessed Germany or France to be bigger centers for electronic music, although it seems popular all over the continent. (I know Netherlands is famous for more low-brow electronic party music such as gabber and happy hardcore, though…)

    • @jasper8291 says:

@@hakanstorsater5090 Armin van Buuren, Hardwell, Afrojack, Martin Garrix, la Fuente.. Do I need to go on?

    • @Frivals says:

Way better than being false all the time and having false emotions

    • @daniel_michael_ says:

@youdj_app Thanks for your comment! What do you mean by “you have to be very cautious”?

    • @slavianalbanovich9025 says:

I don’t understand what you mean by “Latin”, perhaps you mean South American, but it makes no sense to talk about neo-latin speakers in general given the cultural diversity that exists among this group of people.

  • @victoroliveira5890 says:

Surprising that many of them mentioned the language barrier. Dutch people are usually really good speaking English πŸ˜…

  • @oliverfa08 says:

Men should learn with the Chads of The Netherlands , even though most of the men are over 6’1 ( 184 cms ) , not approach women is nice behaviour

  • @ichbinhier355 says:

Quick answer: if you are a tall man from Latin America, Spain or Italy, then you can get a Dutch woman easily.

  • @AllisonCD94 says:

I live in Amsterdam and I am happy to be surrounded by Dutch people who have or had foreign partners, they are a different type of people, those who have no problem speaking another language and dealing with another culture at home, they are very curious to learn new things and get out of their comfort zone. ❀ πŸ™ŒπŸ»πŸ‡³πŸ‡±

  • @mohanedmamdouh4979 says:

“If I live in Dutch, I would speak Netherlands” they got him nervous πŸ’€

  • @johngonzalez4298 says:

Happy Thursday Marina! Great video today and interesting with people visiting and living in the Netherlands πŸ‡³πŸ‡± have their preferred way of dating someone who is from their home country or a foreigner. Keep making these videos as they are great to see. You go girl 😊

  • @gewglesux says:

Loved Amsterdam….. had me an Amsterdam good time also!!

  • @itsjustme8359 says:

    Go to Copenhagen next

  • @Joekool88 says:

I like the Steven He meme!

  • @adaflorea96 says:

It’s funny cause I went to Amsterdam just once in my life and the only night I went out, I had like 6 different Dutch guys come up to me to ask me for my number and a possible date, even though I went there prepared to not be approached by anyone. I actually went on a date with one of them and turned out to be the sweetest date I’ve ever had in my entire life followed by an even sweeter one. I think I just got incredibly lucky.

  • @user-jx4mu3nc4i says:

    Thank you for the video!

  • @GiblixStudio says:

As a 40 year old dutch dude I personally don’t care about foreign or not. Met many women from various backgrounds and as long as the attraction and interest is there it’ll work. For the past 8 years I’ve been married to a woman from Paraguay. She traveled around and ended up in the Netherlands and stayed. So I didn’t even have to go abroad πŸ˜€

as for cultures I wouldn’t date. most likely best too avoid american women.

My personal preference is the more “mysterious” looking women with darker hair. So South Americans and Asians works for me. Especially since I also love their cuisine compared to boring dutch. I hit the jackpot there πŸ˜‰

In the northern part of Europe we men do approach women. We are just way more private and we also are more critical on who we want to approach. It isn’t just being single so I approach everybody. We got standards and patience.

  • @karinelvis4467 says:

You nailed it with the Dutch prefer dating the Dutch

  • @LunaVioletta7 says:

“If I live in India, I would speak Indian. If I live in Dutch, I would speak Netherlands” LOL bless that man

  • @slavianalbanovich9025 says:

What people don’t understand is that dating a girl is HARD EVERYWHERE, unless you’re beautiful or go to a poor country, but in the latter case it’s not that people are hitting on you because they’re in love, but because they see in you a way to escape poverty.

  • @misskaedy says:

I also noticed that when I interact with Dutch men, they sometimes purposely avoid eye contact. It’s like they are scared to lock eyes with you. Is it just me or do Dutch men do this with other women too?

  • @DeeBee-tq7pm says:

The Spaniard woman looks like a high fashion model.
