This is the best marriage interview ever from your podcast. Powerful, impactful, inspiring
This is the most amazing testimony l have ever heard. What the devil meant for bad, God turned it around for good!!!
Great couple. Ma’am you are such a strong woman with a very high spirit, your faith and hope gave him the courage to fight to the end.
God NEVER condemns us.
💯Great point! Her real love definitely gave him motivation and hope! Their story is Amazing!🥰
Thank you for this episode! I’m a volunteer prison chaplain. It’s odd but in prison I meet God like nowhere else. It’s particular, raw, beautiful, painstaking. And the more I talk with inmates, the more I find that the resilience people in that place – I’m talking resilience, not spacing out , becoming numb and toughening up – is God’s living mystery, a miracle how people can muster up courage like this couple. This conversation is sooo inspiring. Your dignity because you come from dignity. Your time must have healed your lineage 7 generations back and 7 generations in,the future big time. Thank you for your gift of sharing your journey so generously.
Amazing couple! They shed a light on prisons impact on everyone involved. And I loved her take on mother’s yelling in the home and how her husband intervened on the trauma it was causing.
It’s why I don’t yell in mine. I remember the damage it did to me, so I won’t do it to my son.
My husband has been in prison since 2006. I can’t tell you how much I needed to hear their story. ❤ God be the glory!
Wow! I’d love to hear your story.
🙏
Hello Laterras,
This is my favorite episode of the Dear Future Wifey Podcast. This is the true meaning of love. Thank you for sharing their story.
We must do more to get our men and women out of these prisons. 😢
When I tell you I will not stop saying “Be where God can bless you”!
My God
If you don’t cry or get mad on hearing this episode something is wrong with you. Very impactful and inspiring story! I watched the documentary years ago. What a powerful testimony!🙏🏾
I’m living this life as well and it is very encouraging! Thank you Mr. Laterras for this episode. It is such a blessing!🙏🏾
THIS WAS SOOOOOO GOOD AND I LOVE THEIR STORY….I LOVE THAT THEY WERE ABLE TO MAINTAIN THEIR MARRIAGE AFTERWARDS AND RAISED SOME STRONG BLACK MEN
This is my new favorite couple. I never heard their story before until today … im literally sitting in my office and holding back tears bc my eyes are filled with liquid. My love is in prison, and he did not get sentence not close to what their story endured and still enduring but we are in year 3 of his sentence, and its tough… this encouraged me so much…. ❤❤❤❤ I needed this story. I’m sharing u all story when he calls later today so we can discuss this conversation… I feel so empowered. Thank you thank you thank you!!! ❤❤❤❤❤
They LOOK GOOD! They do not look like what they’ve been through.
What a testimony!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What they thought was the end was JUST the beginning!
🎉This episode was one for the family dinner conversations on freedom, justice, family, life, matrimony, and civic engagement. Thank you for sharing your testimony and love for life, family, and freedom.
BLACK FOLK IS SO RESILIENT on so many levels🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 The journey of pain😢
These are two of my most favorite people , I love you Fox and Rob.. met them in person they are the most loving couple I’ve ever known ❤️
214 is my husband birthday. They said they waited 21 years and 4 days and he was released 9/20/2018. 9/20 is the date I met my husband and 2018 is when we went on our first date. God just does the most amazing things through this podcast! He had all this planned!
WOW, “THE FIRE OF GOD”! ALIGNMENT IS EVERYTHING! AMEN, GOD DOES EVERYTHING, WELL! BLESSING’S! 🤗😘🙌
At the end of the day, GOD GOT THE GLORY OUT OF THE SITUATION.
AMEN
So at this point those who criticized Tyler Perry , and the rest of the struggle love movies are owed an apology. The movies are clearly art imitating life.
Yes, it is imitating the decisions people choose to make and the things they choose to endure
We don’t owe him an apology. I’m not apologizing to a man who dresse like a woman, hire boys to dress like men for a check, or a man who has openly said before he became famous IF I CANT SAY JESUS…I’M NOT GOING ON TELEVISION. A double minded person is unstable in all of their ways.
It really does, but I also understand the other side of the argument in more ways than one. Diverse representation matters because one story isn’t another person’s story, and sometimes, the same story being perpetuated, especially when it feeds a stereotype, gets old and tired.
It’s not about the story Tyler Perry is a terrible writer….
@@roka2031 That has not been his main criticism from the black community, though that is valid criticism as well. Majority of the time, it’s because his narratives perpetuate the mindset that a black woman needs to “ settle” , especially when the woman is financially successful. He constantly has women in his storylines being in love with a man that you need to either help build up a man , a felon , have a bunch of baby mommas , or the man is so broke he can only afford to pay the light bill . But of course as long as they say they love Jesus that’s all that matters. And clearly, he’s basically writing stories based off of real life at this point— this podcast is proving it.
