• You eat one food at the time. You should date one person at the time. Eating different foods at the same time is disgusting. Dating different people at the same time is disguting.

• I love the judgement from the people in the comments against exclusivity. While it’s common in many places and works fine. Some are weird and think that it means you don’t know the person you are committing to. Like??? You know, you can also just be friends and hang out with someone and then you see that there's more to it and you start a relationship? Maybe it’s weird from a US perspective but it’s common in many countries and it works fine and more importantly it’s time to understand that the US isn’t the centre of the universe and that there are other ways to do things. 🙄

• I thought dating multiple people was normal everywhere. I think of dating as more like sampling people (like food).

  An analogy:
  To go to a new restaurant and be exclusive without knowing if the chef is serving you what you want/need is strange. Why do that? Because of the curb appeal? What if you find a mess inside and they are serving toxicity?

  Courtship is the next level, something more exclusive leading to a more serious relationship. Like moving in together.

    It was always the norm. This dating mutiple people is relatively new.

  • Yeah. Because you can’t just talk and be friends with people, so you necessarily have to date to know them. Sure.

• Not sure why it matters. The ONLY thing that matters is the demographics and ratio. Out west women have a demographic advantage. Should be easy for women to get a man.
