• I think Hayley seems to think most women are kind and laid back like her, she's also off base on what men's core struggles are in meeting and talking to women. The core issue is our looks and whether it'll play a role in how our conservations will be received by women. The truth is, it absolutely plays a role to a large extend based on many people's observations. I've literally seen women responding unfavorably to folks they are not interested in, and by unfavorably, I'm not just talking about outright signs of rejection, but even going as far as to consider their actions borderline creepy or harassment, but the same actions/words performed by one's they consider attractive might be received better, and I've even seen women make excuses for them. It was insane. Now you might think this is a defeatist mindset, but you gotta understand where men come from, when we see stuff like happen in our social circles often, its demoralizing because its hard to think it won't happen to us. I'm not really blaming her, lot of my women friends with whom I discussed this topic are completely clueless and out of touch with men's reality. Its also hot button topic to get labeled misogynist or any other 'flavor of the month' label, so many of our voices are straight up ignored.

  • Your voice isn’t being ignored here. I think both men & women face judgement around their looks. I’d challenge you to try and think of 3 men who aren’t conventionally attractive who are successful with women.

I'm not talking about the exceptions, but patterns and trends. And it is disingenuous of you to conflate judgment on looks faced by men and women. Not even close. In real life, things are never equal
