I’m really struggling in a LDR for almost 1yr and now I see why. We have none of these key points in our relationship and it really doesn’t feel like it’s a priority for him. But, I will discuss the issues w/ him and see if things improve.

  • @foreignlovedreams says:

I think that long distance relationships and “traditional” relationships share many of the same problems. But the challenges of a couple who are in a long distance relationship are a little different or more intense, and the solutions are usually different too. It isn’t easy to be in any relationship but those couples who have long distance relationships seem to have even more challenges.

When you do run into problems, troubleshoot as soon as you realize things aren’t ok. Keep communicating, reaching out, and inviting connection so you and your partner can get through this together and stronger than ever. And remember that real love can exist on distance too.

  • @jenniferbecca3050 says:

I was in an LDR for a long time. Eighteen years later, we live in the same town, again. Yes, we lived in the same town the first, 11 months of knowing each other. Military life took over and we went to different bases. We used to call quite a bit, then moved to texting, then Skype, then back to texting. We literally spend the whole day texting, even, if we are busy with work, then see each other at the end of the day.

🌸 long distance relationships only work, if outcome means you two one day meet & later in future live in same place
If neither cannot move to other for future life or marriage, then it’s pointless having a long distance relationship

Phone sex is important in my long distance relationship I am a very reserved type of woman and I would never think of having phone sex nor talking during sex yet with my Fiancé it’s essentially necessary. It is the intimacy that keeps us working towards our future together as husband and wife.
