What they say and what they actually DO, are two completely different things.
channelin seriously, what girl is going to reject that guy.
itubeutude i agree. if a muscular guy and a 'chilled out' mediocre guy went to a club, the muscular guy will get more attention. and there is nothing wrong with a woman preferring muscles.
Rap Goth it's not just the muscles but the rest of the package... the abs, the chiseled jawline, the tanned skin. The other guys are not ugly, but standing next to mr him, it's a no contest.
Best dad bod video so far...far more than just the opinion of one fitness guru!
"I don't like too many muscles.." Got me right in the feels... women are strange creatures.
Hi Hayley,
Good idea for a short research. But I'd like to give some advice on how to get more accurate results.
1- Find 3 guys that are similar heights, hair style, and most importantly same skin colour. The healthy looking issue is often tied to skin colour.
2- Show a video or pictures of the guys, so your study subjects won't feel bad talking about someone negatively (in their face).
3- Don't give your personal choices to your subjects. You're guiding their answers and making your results questionable.
Good hunting!
Joel Rusk I thought the other 2 were a hobbit & a wet chicken
*"I don't like a guy that goes to the gym"*. I here a lot of women say this. I can't help but feel that only insecure women think like this. More time in the gym means less time to attend to a womens selfish needs? Or the guy is more attractive than you so your worried he might be cheating or you feel inadequate?
It is weird to think that a woman's insecurity plays so much in to what their partner looks like.
Thunder Sack I think that's true for insecure people of both genders
Hayley,
Thanks for responding!
While I can see your point about the devil of insecurity across genders, I have never heard a man ever say, "That girl is way too hot for me." OR "Her body is too perfect for me and makes me feel insecure."
Hayley Quinn Go read the dad bod article... then come talk to me (you obviously have already read it). It's all about insecurity... and being the center of attention. NOTHING ELSE.
Women look at men that look as good or better than themselves as competition. Now, this can be attributed to society, forcing giving subtle messages to women about how they should behave and feel about other people, always comparing themselves to others, but you cannot deny that women generally compare themselves to everyone they meet or talk to. Every single GF I've dated did that, every single women I have ever talked to did that. I know this seems like a broad generalization, but it's just personal experience. Women always compare themselves to others, whether that's something that has been injected into their personalities through tv shows, music and overall media, that's a debate for another day.
Anyway, nice video, and nice voice :).
Thunder Sack I have to comment on this, because I've definitely heard a man say that a woman was out of his league. My whole dating life I had to very explicitly communicate to men that I was interested in them, because I was told time and again that I was intimidating to approach (I'm a natural blonde, about 5'10" and somewhere between thin and athletic). I've never understood anyone limiting him- or herself like that, because if you're into someone, I think you should just get after it, but not everyone feels that way, I guess. :D
Interesting.
I haven't really experienced that before because I'm from heaven...
But seriously, I see your point. Isn't it more of the guy feeling like there would be lack of interest due to physical beauty as opposed to the original premise of a girl being insecure with her own looks in comparison?
And kudos to you for actually communicating what you want. It seems hard for a lot of people to do!
she did this wrong. she should have covered their faces and have gotten guys who had the same skin tones. she should have used photos
I think women would definitely find the trainer guy the most attractive. I think there's a tendency to be polite when being asked questions like this. And another problem is that many women would feel insecure dating a guy like the trainer guy. But, that doesn't mean that they don't find him the most attractive.
I've always went for the people that don't go to gyms. Simply because I have a very physical job, the guy I'm dating has an extremely physical job, so when we get home we're tired, while we each lift between 40-110 pounds anywhere between 2-37 times a day, we'd rather chill instead of going to work out. I don't mind that we each have some extra pounds on us. Plus-I like feeling like I was hugged by a bear ^_^ heavier guys are the best at that. I don't want to hug a hard-door like person, or I'd hug a door.
Personally-I like the muscles people get from everyday work-like having a physical job, realistic muscles, I don't know why but a cashier I knew had huge muscles for no reason, and never used them outside of a gym. People say gym and all I can think of are muscle heads who call me jealous because I don't like the women I date to be ripped like guys. I don't even like ripped guys, I like my women with natural chest-not pecs.
