As an American who for some reason loves tea, never wears outside shoes indoors and would have friends visit late into the evening I’m starting to think I’m secretly Turkish. It’s funny because I used to think I was secretly Chinese with the tea and shoes part. A recent trip to Turkey and this video showed me the truth about myself! 😂

As a Turkish- German guy I can confirm that everything in this great video is absolutely true !! Especially wearing shoes in the flat is simply unacceptable and considered dirty and disrespectful to someone’s home. What maybe could have been shown more was the big Turkish tea obsession and serving dinners with various dishes everyday even if you are just yourselves .when someone comes for dinner a min 3-4 dishes meal is expected and the norm. For Turks there are No limits to hospitality and friendship!! Loved the video and the Turkish ladies ! Tebrikler , çok teşekkür ederim! 😊

But when foreigners come they don't apply the same culture of hospitality and are rude and want to take advantage of foreigners or just not welcoming, not all but still that's my experience
