Feeling emotionally exhausted by dating? You’re not alone.
So many of my coaching clients report that they find dating DRAINING.
They’ve had too many interactions that haven’t led anywhere and now they’re struggling to feel MOTIVATED to even try.
If this is YOU here are 3 quick tips to rediscover your motivation:
1. Take the pressure off yourself. If you feel demotivated, then feel bad about yourself because you feel demotivated, you will heap on emotional pressure. Instead reassure yourself that it’s natural for motivation to ebb and flow, and yours will come back.
2. Find the level at which you can engage with dating right now. I love to teach people how to meet one another IRL: if you’re into that great (take a look at my other videos). If that’s too much then dial it back. Try taking up a new hobby or interest instead.
3. Keep your expectations set to neutral. Rather than getting really excited, then really let down, take a more step by step approach to dating. Your mindset is “they seem nice right now, let’s see what happens.”
Finally consider what you actually find fun (!) the more enjoyment you can find in dating, the easier it will be for you to motivate yourself to continue.
