I dated a girl with 2 cats in Chicago. The reason I mention the city is because they have a vermin problem. The cats were very nice to me and what not, but she was still out going. They kept all the mice and rats away from her property. They’ve both died, but she didn’t get another cat after that. Cats can roam the neighborhood and come back at night just fine unlike a dog. We have multiple ferals in my neighborhood roaming around to keep the squirrel population down or they’ll damage a lot of stuff. If she’s a crazy cat lady otherwise then run. Not every cat needs to be “rescued” especially since they’re so damn independent.

People are misunderstanding. There is a difference between having a pet and making the pet your entire life. If you have many pics of your cat on your social media and dating profiles, you’re going to be perceived as weird by most people. Owning a cat is not a personality trait.

Dating sites now have so many women on them proudly proclaiming themselves to be cat or dog owners that it’s unreal. If I read “What I always carry with me: Poo bags” one more time I’m going to flip.

You’re not trapped with a cat at all. Cats are much more independent. You can go out for a long weekend or even a week if you have a gravity feeder and your cat will be fine. You can’t leave a dog alone for a full day let alone a weekend or a full week. If you left a full week’s worth of food out for a dog it would probably eat it in a day or two. Cats are like your friend, a dog is like a child, they require much more care.

Well that was just rhetorical garbage. Clearly she doesn’t like cats, lol. Sounds like jealously, lol.
