What are biggest culture shocks that foreigners experience living in Mexico and specifically in Mexico City? I ask people on the streets of Mexico City about the things they love and don't like about Mexico, what has shocked them most and also get Mexican perspective on some of these questions as well.

Oh boy , how much i missed these videos , so good see again , i love Mexico 🎉😊
Yay!
I'm genuinely grateful for the opportunity to engage in such stimulating discourse. It's a rare and precious gift.✨
"If you have money you can live well in Mexico , if you don't will be frustrating" this isn't just in Mexico...😂
right finally someone with a brain. People think oh it's nice to live there. But of course you can live well off when you have US, Euros and other first world country money that is more when you convert it to pesos. They never go in the dirt poor area and see how hellish the locals live. Anyone with good money from a first world country can live well in south america and Caribbean and smaller 3rd world countries
Definitely was misled cheap before I went. I used hostels which actually not so cheap anymore as no ventilation literally. As an asthmatic it was hard and a great experience. Wish gad been there say 25 years ago. I took intercity buses and were costly tbh. I loved the experience and needed to use my Spanish a lot ...I was shocked as to how ordinary workers survive as welfare state where is it inc water not drinkable so how can people buy water for whole family or medications??
@@samuelromeo6937 true; with an average mexican salary you will most likely be struggling. On the other hand if you can bring an american salary you can afford to live like a king
Very true
YAY OMG A LONG VIDEO!! 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹
Great video!
i missed these kind of videos, welcome back marina! Mexico city seems really beautiful. It made me sad to see Mexicans discriminate themselves by skin color. i would love to see Mexico one day.
Thank you! Yes it was interesting to hear the honesty from Mexicans - learned a lot that day
It's more classism than racism. A good example are the Argentinian waiters in Mexico City, they can be white, even blonde, but Mexicans will discriminate against them for being poor, while brown nosing a Black or Brown person at the same time
@@IshavedChewbacca i think it is more about colorism(which exist many cultures/countries around the world). Sad about Argentinians, it must be hard to be immigrant no matter where you came from, no matter where you came to.
Such a nice Video!😍
Happy you liked it!
Nice 🎉🎉
I’m Mexican American and I’ve been to mx city a couple of times but I love it every time I miss it ❤❤❤❤
That inferiority complex is also called malinchismo.
i mean, it's not the same but you can say that malinchismo is a way of inferiority complex
