• I actually like to pay as a gesture, but if it's expected that won't happen. I am not an ATM, If I pay than because I want to do so.

• The first date both should pay so they can get to know each other first, then the man pays going forward. When I met my wife on the cruise, I began to pay for every meal and drink after we first met.

• If she wants him to pay, what sets her apart from gold diggers?

• Great if this works for them, but then they should stay and date within their culture, or maybe other Germanic/Scandinavian countries with the same mentality. Because the rest of the world is not like this.

  • @@ctsd623 women still don’t get paid as much as their male counterparts for doing the same job. the pay gap is still a thing based on sex. women are still the ones who are the primary caregivers of their children and who have to birth the child while fathers take a back seat. so what “gender equality” are you referring to?

• I like to pay for the meal as I am a provider, I saw my father pay the bills, so I like to be like him. I take women who I have met her in our group, friends of friends, to restaurants so I can get to know them.

  If she does not present herself as feminine and traditional, I will not take her out again.

• You should be man enough to pay on the first date. Women put in too much time and effort into looking good for a date, especially the first one. It's the least you could do.
