You’ve NEVER Had Luck with Dating? #datingadvice #datinglife

You’ve never had any luck with dating, so why should now be any different?

This is one of the worst mindsets we can bring into dating: Not only does it re-live the hurt of the past, but it also erodes your ability to feel optimistic about the future (which is pretty important if you want to meet someone.)

I get why you’d look to the past for evidence of how the future is going to turn out: But avoid turning this into a narrative where “you’re just no good at dating.”

Some people meet the love of their lives at university, but most people have an array of dating experiences (read: spend too much time on all the wrong people) before they find someone they really connect with.

If you are willing to learn some lessons from the past, and be proactive in the present, there’s no reason why this always has to be your story.

You’re not stuck. You have a profound ability to change.

The past is a lesson, not a prediction.
